All 3 starters are Zubat.
All the gym leaders use zubat.
No routes, Only caves. Full of Zubat.
Elite 4 uses zubat.
Zubat will never evolve into golbat.

It's not that people dislike the Fire/Fighting type starters, it'sjust that after 3 times in a row, we want something else.
#158 - icametocomment (02/03/2013) [-]
I don't understand why everyone's hating on Fire/Fighting. Blaziken was the best goddamn pokemon I ever had.
User avatar #171 to #158 - fizzor (02/03/2013) [-]
It's too ******* overused. Blaziken was the **** , the first fire/fighting pokemon, but when you start using the same types for the next gen fire starters again and again, it loses it's awesomeness. It's not like people would flip their **** because "NOOOOOO THE FIRE STARTER ISN'T FIRE/FIGHTING TYPE, NOW IT CAN NEVER BE AS GREAT AS BLAZIKEN". Quite the opposite in fact. They keep changing the game drastically for every new gen, so I think they should finally make a different type of fire starter, rather than the goddamn fire/fighting. As mentioned in the comments, a fire/psychic type starter would be ******* great.
User avatar #174 to #171 - icametocomment (02/03/2013) [-]
I really do like Fire/Fighting, just because of how much damage you can inflict, but I do agree Fire/Psychic would be a cool change. The fact that it's a fennec fox is awesome too, I love those big-eared ******* . Now I just need a 3DS.

Personally, I liked the mudkip family.
User avatar #159 to #158 - falconxmard (02/03/2013) [-]
It's because it's been overused. Blaziken, Infernape, Emboar, and now Fennekin.

i thought Fennekin is going to be Fire/Psychic?
#201 to #165 - anon (02/03/2013) [-]
There's no reason to believe that it will be anything but a pure fire type. Until the reveal movesets at the very least, it's all just wild, unfounded speculation.
User avatar #168 to #159 - evilmagic (02/03/2013) [-]

They should make a game where the time period is wayyy far in the past. like have wild Kabuto and Omanyte and Aerodactyl and have all sorts of other pokemen
User avatar #94 to #77 - mutzaki ONLINE (02/03/2013) [-]
I've never thought about that, but that's a really great idea.
Better yet, you could have one version take place way in the past, and then one way in the future. Because then I'd actually be interested in picking up both versions for one generation.

Why the **** is there a Mewtwo in that game if it was recently created?
User avatar #80 to #77 - kanatana (02/03/2013) [-]
And all sorts of new Pokemon keep appearing, all of a sudden, and one of the plot points is that they're unbalancing the ecosystem, so some of them have to be herded to entirely different continents... just like how frogs can totally **** up Australia, they don't need a whole bunch of Bidoof in Kanto or something.

I don't think you understand how dual types work. A fire grass type will be normally effected by fire and water. Nobody gets an advantage

The water was a water/steel
The grass was a grass/ground

Spiritomb and Sableye are both weak to NOTHING
I would pick either Dratini, so I could have a badass Dragonite

Remember Gen IV?
Torterra's Grass/Ground. Ground trumps both Steel and Fire.
Infernape's Fire/Fighting. Fighting blows Steel types away, and Fire burns through grass.
Empoleon's Water/Steel. Though it doesn't do MUCH, it's most common non-STAB (as far as I've seen) is Ice Beam, which WRECKS Torterra.
