Well, I just changed my opinion on the most retarded Pokemon. Vanillish takes that spot.
I used to think the garbage bag Pokemon was the most retarded but... A ******* ice cream cone? Really?

And a whole splodge of grime? That's okay... Oh, and what's the evolved form? Oh, right, a whole splodge of muck... that is slightly bigger than the original splodge of grime.

......so you prefer a contained bag of sludge to an original monster of sludge.....dude

Not that. I'm saying there is no point in complaining about a bag of sludge, when the idea of a pile of living sludge is just as ridiculous.
It's Pokemon. Almost none of it makes sense, but just because of the nostalgia of the original games, they seem to forget about the fact that most of that makes little sense, as well as having some stupid designs as well.
It's fictional creatures of the make-believe, what do you expect?

no because the episode that these were introduced made a lot of sense thats why they were actually awesome

According to Pokedex entries, Grimer was born from sludge exposed to X-rays from the moon.
Although, in the anime series, this wasn't even specified until Diamond and Pearl, in the first series it was simply "born of sludge"
Tell me how this makes sense?
Trubbish was born from a chemical reaction with an abandoned trash bag and industrial waste.
It's almost the same thing. Chemical reactions causing inanimate, non-living things to come to life.

did you see the episode they came into the first series -.-

So? The thrive in dirty areas. They are born from sludge exposed to x-rays from the moon.
Just because how they are born (although it mentions nothing about the moons x-rays at that point) is shown, doesn't mean it makes any sense.
I've already said, it's fiction. It doesn't have to make sense. The Grimer coming to be doesn't make sense, and neither does the Trubbish one. It's just because of nostalgia that some people don't care, and how when we watched it as children, of course it would make sense to our simply minds.
The only difference between the two, is that we don't see how Trubbish was born, we only see that it came from a rubbish tip (which is the area it would have been born anyway)

there are 2 reasons why the old games are better
1. nostalgia
2. it feels like the npcs never shut the **** up in the newer games

ps: the first pokemon game that lets you skip the tutorials will be the all time best regardless of the pokemon in the game

If they had the tech at the time they would have done the same then.

The newer games have better storylines, as well as graphics, dialogue and all over gameplay.
Black/White also have the awesome Spring/Summer/Autumn/Winter feature that changes aspects of the game, as well as changing the likelihood of what Pokemon can be caught where etc.
Overall, all games have their own reasons for being awesome.
Yes, the old games have nostalgia, but that doesn't always mean better.
That all comes down to simple opinion. They aren't just "definitely 100% better". They all have good and bad points.
The old games bad points: **** graphics, not really the best of plots (It was okay)
Good points: Nostalgia, less time for graphics and the NPCs don't talk as much

The newer gen bad points: The graphics to it sometimes seems to take forever, and the NPCs do talk loads, also the Spring-Winter thing (although it is awesome) makes going through some places almost impossible if you play it in winter)
Good points: All that stuff I said above.

i liked how the old ones did not really have a story you did things becaues you needed the item not because some npc talked you ear off
i play pokemon when i want to catch pokemon and grind levels i play RPGs when i want story but your points are also valid

Yeah but that has a legit reason. Pollution.

I don't know how they introduce this ice cream cone into the series but... I want to see the episode now.

I'm not one of those first gen is only gen people.

Well first off:
Trubbish was made through similar reasons as Grimer. It was due to rubbish and chemical waste.
Where as Grimer was created from chemicals (slime or grime or whatever) was exposed to X-rays from the moon.
Vanillite was formed due to icicles being bathed in energy from the morning sun (yeah yeah, "why wouldn't the ice melt" - it's Pokemon, it doesn't have to make sense)

^^^ All of these are information from actual Pokedex entries.
