I have no idea what this is. But it is very cool and I like it. mfw killing demons with OP weapons that my mind can create.

Can someone explain this to me?: One time, I think I experienced something like sleep paralysis, or maybe it was astral or lucid dreaming or whatever. What happened was, I was very sleep deprived, and right when I layed down, I felt "sucked" into sleep. And I mean it was nearly instantaneous. I knew I was asleep, and tried my hardest to wake up, because it was terrifying--I heard things, like someone or something saying my name, and then a super loud bang on the wall behind me. That's when I woke up. It was so goddamn scary, I didn't attempt to sleep until morning came. Can anyone classify this type of experience? I swear this happened, and I just wanna know what exactly it was.

That is sleep paralysis. Basically you weren't in a dream state yet but your mind put your body into sleep mode so while you were conscious, your mind was also trying to create a dream causing the hallucinations. It seems to be common for most people to have terrifying experiences with sleep paralysis

sleep paralysis, as said before by the fellow above me.
its a psicological/phisical state were your body still hasnt gone out of REM sleep, meaning that you cant move because you still arent out of the part of sleep that restricts movement (imagine if you kick a ball in a dream, without this cycle you would do an irl kick and move alot while you sleep).

its pretty close though, getting to sleep p. is your goal. while in this state just imagine pulling on a rope that and climbing "out" of your body

I imagined myself as a space marine, clad in power armor, protected by seals and wards to fend off any evil that dares touch me but I strayed to far, deep within the misty forest and lingered long enough for the dem- BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD BLOOD BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD BLOOD BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD BLOOD BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD BLOOD BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD BLOOD BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD BLOOD BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD BLOOD BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD BLOOD BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD BLOOD BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD BLOOD MWAHAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA AASHKLAHSAJSHJASHAASA

My dear Blood Raven brother, your easy anger and thurst for battle has fuelled your corruption. By His will, take yourself and hope the Emperor gives you mercy.

I've never heard of this "Astral Projection" thing before, it sounds like religious banter.
Are these people actually talking about lucid dreaming?
User avatar #20 to #19 - aenous (05/19/2013) [-]
nope, well you /MIGHT/ consider it religious at a level, dont exactly remember what it was.

but yeah astral p. =/= lucid dreaming

Hey
I find it fairly easy to reach the vibrational state, and when i do it last for a long time, i also have a constant loud noise in my ear.
I've done this the 2 past days, but i somehow can seem to find out if i'm inn my physical body or not.

First night, i was able to move around and all the time i felt electrocuted by some sort of "rope" but i couldn't see anything, it was pitch dark but i just knew where everything was.
to make a long story short i later woke up in my bed in the same position which I had started out in. This was strange because it was far from where i thought I was at..

last night I was able to move as well, but I thought it was my physical body which I moved so I didn't dare in fear of waking up..

what's next step for me, any ideas?

>mfw "Ass-tral projection".

It's called lucid dreaming.
>mfw "Ass-tral projection".

It's called lucid dreaming.

no, lucid dreaming is where you teach yourself to recognize that you're dreaming, and then use that knowledge to have the time of your ******* life. astral projection is more along the lines of tricking your body into thinking it's asleep, so that the brain releases the powerful hallucinogens that cause dreams to be. In essence, you give yourself an acid trip, with no negative side effects.

I was able to do this a few years ago. Not sure where I brought myself but there were red crystals everywhere. Think I may try again tonight.
User avatar #9 to #8 - aenous (05/16/2013) [-]
wait, you mean you were in the first threads or were able to project?
User avatar #11 to #9 - tocaboca (05/16/2013) [-]
Project. Sorry for the confusion.

I've tried this years ago, I would get to the vibrations and get a felling of falling then I would jump, Got really close. I haven't tried it for months,
User avatar #4 to #3 - aenous (05/16/2013) [-]
try it again, sounds pretty close
User avatar #5 to #4 - mookiez (05/16/2013) [-]
I think I might try again tonight, I forgot about it and this reminded me. Have you ever succeed in this?
User avatar #6 to #5 - aenous (05/16/2013) [-]
after a year and a half of pracice you could say so. i stopped a while ago but remembered this so i retook the habit
User avatar #7 to #6 - mookiez (05/16/2013) [-]
I see, I only tried for a couple weeks, I would say a year and a half would train you more.
