************* it's story time.
I work at a campground that used to be a resort that was started in the 1920's. On the property, there's a 3 floor hotel with somewhere around 70 rooms, if I recall. Why is this relevant? LOOK AT THIS BITCH. It's creepy as **** .
I started working here in March of 2011 and am still there. I didn't believe in ghosts then. I do now. I have so many ******* stories about this creepy ************* building. Shall I?

ALRIGHT SO. I'll do a couple of them. Firstly. Within weeks of starting there, other people working on fixing the buildings up (Remember, closed for 30 years) were asking me if I'd ever seen faces in the windows or heard noises. I didn't, but some people actually quit because it creeped them out.
I didn't experience much, the first summer. As fall rolled around, it was just me and one other dude working there. HUGE badass marine. We were dicking around moving spare **** in to the dining room of the hotel (Back corner, furthest from the top picture) when he'd asked me if I ever heard the footsteps pacing the second floor.
***************** , right? So we sat in the dining room while he smoked a cigarette. Sure as a ************ , you could hear a steady thump-thump-thump footstep pacing the 2nd floor hallway. It was maybe 7 or 8 steps from end to end but they were DISTINCT and obvious. So I was blown away. We walked to the grand staircase (only way up) and stood there. Getting an idea from those ghost TV shows, I knocked on the wall, hard, four times. A few seconds pass, and sure as a ************ from the room across the hall on the second floor, four VERY loud knocks back. Me and the marine share a complete WHAT THE ******* **** gaze. Testing our luck, I called upstairs and asked it to make a noise. I barely finished speaking before something big fell over (A warddrobe) and a door slammed shut. That marine moved like ************* Forrest Gump out of that building. I wasn't far behind. That's just the start.
<Hallway, I think this is the third floor. Forgot to rotate but you get the idea

To continue!
After that event, there was brief correspondence with the TV show Ghost Hunters, but that never went anywhere. Time went on in to late fall (end of october) and we were going to have a huge tag sale to get rid of some bulk. This included opening the first floor of the hotel with a bunch of goods. One room was set up to be a library. On the third floor, on the opposite end of the building, were at least 1000 books. My job one day was to carry them from the third floor to the first, all in crates, to put on the shelves. No biggie. Except I was alone. On the entire property. On a rainy day.
At first I was allright, my phone blasting Hotel California by the Eagles (Always hear that song when I'm in there now, lol) and hefting the heavy crates down the 3 flights of stairs. You know that feeling you get when someone's watching you? I got that. My phone died because loliphone. I kept carrying the crates. I was about halfway through before I really couldn't shake the feeling of being followed. Like 15 feet behind me? It had that air about it. I kept going, and the sensation got closer. 10 feet or less. Like you expect to turn and see someone there. I got uncomfortable and took a break outside, sweating even though it was a cool rainy day and the hotel is never warmer than 55 degrees. I went back in. Big ******* mistake. The presence was less than 5 feet behind me, it was a really strong somewhat ominous feeling of dread, and my footsteps sounded doubled at all times. I had like 10 crates left. I was moving at a brisk pace, but so was the feeling behind me. 5 crates. I ******* swear it's breathing down my neck. My hair is standing on end violently. I have goosebumps. 2 crates left. I run. 1 crate. I sprint up the stairs after doing this for hours. It feels ice cold on my back. I grab the crate, triple step the stairs on my way down praying I don't fall, not looking behind me. I toss the crate in the library and immediately head home. Didn't even shut the door

But yeah, have some similar stuff happening at my workplace, not had the feeling of someone being in my steps though.

There is however a room that has an alcove that kinda gives off a feeling of just utter wrongness, like its not supposed to be there, add to the fact that there feels like something is staring back when you're in that room ( Which I have to be at least once a night for safety checks)

other than that we've had reports of hotel guests being bothered in their sleep by cold spots and yanking.

will post more if people want to,

So we have this training room in the hotell that used to be a old bomb shelter, in this training room ( or actually that entire floor, basement ) there is always that distinct feeling that there is something wrong.

any case, things that i've experienced myself when doing the safety checks is that things get displaced, doors opened and lights turned on.
Aka I go down there at 1am, dumbbells are in proper order and pingpong racquets are in their place, everything is where it is supposed to be so I just check everything turn off the lights and close the doors ( And lock most of them ).

go down again around 3-4 am and dumbbels are on opposite sides of the room, some of the lights turned on, and doors that I locked are open.

these are doors that cannot be opened without a master key, which is either on my belt or in a locked compartement, and the key to that compartement is on my belt as well.

have some other from other hotels that i've worked at but time is late/early and the hotel guests are waking up so i'll have to skeedaddle off of FJ

damn that sounds scary, you could try to post all of them they sound interesting, I would thumb them

according to "clairvoyants" they aint really that bad.

also we seemingly have the ghost of a drunken fisherman that goes around the fifth floor hallway harmless really except you get a feeling of something watching you and following you, and if you pass through the area where he "stands" you get kind of a chill going through you and you stumble as if you were drunk.

also if you leave a beer unattended in that hallway, it will get emptied after a while.

Now this is all something I heard from my boss, and I havent experienced the stumbling myself but the feeling of something walking in my footsteps i have had.

Now currently at the hotel theres a conference / convention for spiritualist, healers, etc and i've gotten some people who have wanted to change room because theres someone sitting/standing in the corner of the room and looking at them.
#330 to #329 - warbringerii (02/28/2014) [-]
The fisherman one sounds cool even funny, with the beer thing, but the spiritualists saying the sense something in the corner is plain scary. Why haven't you or your boss contacted some kind of exorcist ?

User avatar #331 to #330 - frohtastic (02/28/2014) [-]
we actually had one a couple a years ago.
Well, a Shaman technically.

anyways he went all over the hotel and purged the 'bad' spirits according to him.
though the hotel seems to be built upon 'bad soil' according to him, so we're bound to have problems now and then.

see, most of the town got burnt down under the second world war and then rebuilt afterwards.
actually the training room seems to have been a bunker back in the day, not sure if I believe that since the plot next to the hotel is a church, but still.

used to be that you could sometimes smell burnt bacon down in the training room.
