Am I the only one who isn't laughing at something like this? I don't find it funny in any ways, I think it's horrible. How can you guys laugh at watching someone die? Would it be funny if someone close to you, like a family member or a friend died?

Are you all freaks, without any kind of sympathy? Or do you just think it's cool to not care about anything, and therefor writes things like "haha", "omg so funny"?

If you are one those people who really likes laughing at stuff like this, you should get help. I would start by seing a psychologist.

psychologists are useless. all they do is perpetuate the idea that something is wrong with you. psychiatrists are better to some degree but they're basically the same thing, except they give you drugs so that you stay sick. so no, i'm just gonna keep laughing at morbid **** .

and btw, he didn't necessarily die. i saw a similar thing happen yesterday on an episode of A Thousand Ways to Die and the guy lived. i remember it was strange because i thought everyone dies on that show, but apparently he lived.

so either quit getting all butthurt, or get off the internet.

Wow you ******* moron. Psychologists needs a Ph.D. and is a protected term, while psychiatrists only need practical training. ******** .
#431 to #85 - anon (05/23/2012) [-]
No, you, sir, are a ******* moron. You have to go to medical school to be a psychiatrist, you can major in psychology in college
#471 to #431 - whateveridontneed (05/24/2012) [-]
a degree in psychology doesn't make you a psychologist. Medical School = practical training (not saying it's easy).
User avatar #89 to #85 - jokeface ONLINE (05/23/2012) [-]
i didnt say anything about the degrees they need. i just said they're counterproductive.

"they're basically the same thing"
User avatar #91 to #90 - jokeface ONLINE (05/23/2012) [-]
yea, they are. they're both people who get paid ridiculous amounts of money to sit in a chair with a clipboard and listen while you bitch about how hard your life is. one of them just talks to you without offering any real help, and the other gives you drugs, which are actually bad because then you become dependent on an external resource to fix something with your personality that you should be able to control on your own.

Cause its so much better to laugh at someone get killed than take medication so you can actually be productive in some way. (And FYI, there's more than one way of being a psychologist. Ever heard of social sciences?) FunnyJunk has such a skewed, idiotic perception of death right now that I just want to leave the site.

Stop being an idiot, please...
User avatar #160 to #94 - jokeface ONLINE (05/23/2012) [-]
im not an idiot. i know the different types of psychologists. but we're talking about one type: a psychological counselor. the kind that sits in a room with you and says "How does that make you feel?" a bunch of times without actually giving you any helpful information. all they do is, like i said above, perpetuate the idea that something is wrong with you. the truth is, almost everyone's brain operates under the same psychological rules. which means there is no reason talking to a therapist should make any difference. f your brain is somehow different, and doesn't play by the rules, that means it's damaged, and that's when you go to a psychiatrist, who, assuming you really are sick, should put you in a mental hospital to protect society from you harming them, or to protect you from harming yourself.

i'll give you an example of how easy psychology is to understand. i laughed at this because it was funny to me. i found it funny because it looks like something you would see in a cartoon. the reason i wasn't offended by the morbidity of it was because i've seen so much gore in my life that my brain has been conditioned to it. i'm used to it. and i'm going to seek out more gruesome stuff on the internet because now that i'm used to it, i need more shocking images to stimulate my mind. otherwise i get bored, and too much boredom leads to depression. i've been depressed before, so my brain knows to avoid it by constantly looking for more shocking things to see.

now give me a degree because that's all it takes to be a psychologist.

You're generalizing so terribly.
All people seem to think psychiatrists just sit there and get paid to listen, when they don't and the ones that do aren't fit to call themselves so.

Your arguments are based on flawed logic and your logic is based on, well, **** all.

Your logic is that you're going to become depressed because you aren't seeing gore and shocking pictures? That's not depression, that's boredom, yes boredom can lead to depression but not because you're just not excited enough on the internet.

User avatar #234 to #222 - jokeface ONLINE (05/23/2012) [-]
i was referring to psychologists, not psychiatrists. psychiatrists can prescribe drugs, so at least they're trying to help, albeit in a misguided way.

and im not saying shocking stuff is the only solution to boredom, but it is one of the most convenient, as it's the most immediately accessible.
User avatar #253 to #234 - theawesomeyoghurt (05/23/2012) [-]
Psychologists aren't just the people that sit with you and say "Yes, do go on," and "i'm listening," The term psychologist covers a wide range of professions and fields.
Also, drugs aren't all bad, yes some can have adverse effects but they're few and far between.

Also, Have you ever even touched the subject properly? It doesn't seem you have, considering that you think the only difference between a psychologist and a psychiatrist is that they can prescribe drugs (Considering a psychiatrist IS a psychologist anyway, but psychiatry was their chosen profession)
User avatar #264 to #253 - jokeface ONLINE (05/23/2012) [-]
i know that a psychiatrist is a psychologist. and i know there are different types of psychologist. but i associate the term with the counselor, because "psychologist" was what we called it when i was in therapy.
