Requires Headphones

This is designed to provide the listener with some understanding of what it might be like to experience auditory hallucinations. Content in this presentation is based on things our clients tell us they hear through my experience as a mental health outreach worker.

Is this supposed to have some effect?

Not really. It's more like a shallow glimpse into what people that get audio hallucinations experience. Just so more people have an idea of what they are. Though the scope of the problem is hard to judge. Dealing with this, a sound you can't stop by plugging your ears that could happen fairly often would wear down someone's mental stability. I doubt I'd last long, that's for sure.

I have a disorder called Intermittent Explosive Disorder. I attack people involuntarily during trances caused by random trigger phrases or actions which can effect me differently based on my thoughts/feelings at the time. I did the same thing listening to it, and started to feel anger towards the voices so I began to twitch. Nothing happened, but it's only 4 minutes so I'm not sure what would happen if I listened to it for 8 minutes, or 10 - 15 minutes, or even longer. I might have started twitching worse or if I might even go into a trance and start punching something at random (though I doubt that would happen).

As someone who once experienced a voice in my head. This literally started making me cry

OP, put a trigger warning on this. Friend of mine who used to hear tons of voices started flipping out hearing this.
