If you remember these... then you had a good scare. They are still a good read and they released an anniversary edition but the artwork was different. I have the newer ones, I am trying to find the old copies. The drawings just made the stories so much better. A bit of nostalgia for those that read these.

I remember the story about the lady who had a huge zit on the side of her cheek, then that **** popped and it turned out a spider layed its eggs there. ******* scared me.

I used to read these in sixth grade. I remember singing the Herse song. And my favorite story was called "cats eyes".

Oh god I had all of these and there were only a select few that actually scared me.
One that always scared me was the one whee the kid is alone and his dog dies from shock because of seeing a head fall down the chimney. bleh

i remember this one that was about a kid who pulled out a toe from the garden and his family cooked it up and ate it. then a monster came in the middle of the night and took it back.

my thoughts were:
child rips off someones toe

has his family cook it and commits cannibalism

at night the person comes and kills parents and child, ripping up their entrails in search of a chewed and mangled toe

I have the collection with all 3 in 1. I started to take requests and I would type up the stories for people but FJ threw a hissy fit so I stopped doing it.
