Your idea about rapists is worrying. Technically 1 in 4 women are raped in their lifetime. And only 5% are reported. So even if you looked up the whereabouts of rapists in your area you're only getting the ones who have been charged with rape (of the number reported, only 6% of that currently gets convicted).

So yeah. And if you want sources for statistics try watching the news, rape crisis or just google "haven rape survey"

Also most survivors of rape (over 80%) are attacked by men they know - husbands, boyfriends, co workers, friends.

Which shows why it is such a worry for women.

Actually, Male on Male rape is much higher than Male on Female rape.
(Yay penitentiaries~)

Most men don't rape.

And one in four? Where the **** do you get your statistics from?

what if the ghost start appearing only when you are alone,or making visible itself only to you, in order to make think to your friends neighbors, etc that you are crazy?
User avatar #3 to #2 - Nameloc [OP](10/03/2012) [-]
That would be quite a rare case, although you'd just have to go through standard procedure to get rid of it. ( **** like Ouija boards will bring more evil spirits, so that's one of the stupidest things you can do.)
Just get a priest to bless the house, maybe as if he can stay for a while after; Have him to do the same thing a week after just in case and you're done.
If it gets real bad then just move, if it follows you it's a poltergeist and you'll need to call up a priest again..
User avatar #4 to #3 - ytzion (10/03/2012) [-]
And what if the priest with his simil- magic is useless?
User avatar #5 to #4 - Nameloc [OP](10/03/2012) [-]
I'm talking about like a Catholic Priest or someone of the like.
If that person is useless then they may be filled with fear; Find a different priest.
(Fear brings draws them in, seeing how you're an easy target.)

What if(sorry for the repetition) god, satan and **** don't exist but the ghost is real?
User avatar #7 to #6 - Nameloc [OP](10/03/2012) [-]
How about this scenario, seeing how it'll keep repeating. (Lol)
If all religious attempts to rid the ghost fail then try to move away or keep someone with you 24/7. (Idk, maybe get a wife, a best friend at work, ect.)
That or just ignore it. Seeing how the worst it could do is try and kill you.

Most of my information comes from countless hours watching TV shows and documentaries on ghost stories.
User avatar #8 to #7 - ytzion (10/03/2012) [-]
Is impossible to ignore a ghost that follow you and make the other think that you're crazy because you order them to stay with you 24/7 for something that they can't see(sorry for the bad english)
User avatar #9 to #8 - Nameloc [OP](10/03/2012) [-]
Well you don't have to be forceful, could just try to be very very social at all times.
(ie when off work as if friend wants to go for a drink or something. Take cab rides instead of driving yourself, have a live in spouse/ significant other or live with one, on free time take up volunteering, ect.)
(I have multiple friends where English is not their primary language, so I've dealt with worse, trust me, lol. Your English is great.)

That's a good point.I have other ideas,but i'm too tired to write 'em.thanks for the discussion,bye

Assuming ghosts exist, you're not going to save yourself by having 100 people in your home because that simply isn't practical. Also, running to your neighbor's house may not do anything, because some ghosts may follow you. You can't fight something that you can't touch, something that can get into your head and change the way you see things.

Potential rapists/robbers:

If you're a small young woman fighting a man who is much taller and larger than you, adrenaline isn't doing anything if he has his hands wrapped around your neck.

Actually, no, I'm just going to say this: Fear is natural and unavoidable if you're a psychologically-normal human being. Fear is a biological response, it keeps you from things that could potentially harm you, it's instinct.

Don't ******* call someone a "bitch" for being afraid of something. It's normal and natural. People like to tie these stereotypes to biological and psychological functions that are uncontrollable.

Let 's say your house is haunted and you're scared of sleeping at night. There's always people in the house and neighbors within shouting distance; Worse case scenario is you tough it out for a few minutes while help arrives.
Now, would the ghost show itself if you had 100+ people packed inside your house, almost covering every inch of the house, would anything spooky happen then? No.

Oh yeah, I constantly have 100+ people packed inside my house. Gj OP. But still, a good read, worth a thumb.

hold on a minute while we become a website of entirely logical machines who comment everything only with "lol"

also your list of things to be scared of in the world is extremely minimal, there are more than just spiders and death hovering around
User avatar #21 to #20 - Nameloc [OP](10/04/2012) [-]
What else would you say is there to be scared of?
People only fear what they can't change, they fear what could possibly happen. (You know, the worst case scenario.) Once you understand that it'd be kinda hard to fear things. If it happens it happens; If there's a slight chance of being able to change how the situation is going down and you do nothing (whilst being fully aware of it) then it's your own fault. (Like if a group of armed men storm into your house and threaten to kill you for no reason. There's billions and trillions of scenarios that can play out and only one of those will make it through to be reality. (Talking about the 4th dimension.) The real question is, have you what it takes to change it for your likings? (This is where fear comes in; Once doubt sets into your mind you won't be able to accomplish what you want to do. You make yourself believe that nothing can be done to change the scenario when all along it was your choice in the first place to be in that scenario. (So basically, your past self set the path for your future self to be in. Ie you decide to buy a game, then days later you are hungry but broke because you spent your money on said game. Therefore you have caused it on yourself; You put yourself in that situation.))

Now tell me, what is there to 'fear'?
#22 to #21 - captaindropkik (10/04/2012) [-]
fear is a biological response to help you avoid the **** you should be afraid of, getting yourself into a situation that could end up getting you killed is irrelevant, logic can only be applied to fear when it comes to spiders. some of which are logical to fear because it means not getting bitten by a black widow or something, as rare as that might be.

you're overthinking it by a longshot
#23 to #22 - captaindropkik (10/04/2012) [-]
******* can't even pause resident evil 6 to write a proper comment
i meant to say logic can be applied to fear but that doesn't change the situation and the reasons your mind automatically starts ******** itself
but doing something like making yourself poor and homeless doesn't mean you shouldn't fear the situation, that **** could go a million different ways
