they call them eye-teeth because the are originally placed under your eye...

it's adult teeth and "milk teeth"... right?!

You now realized this is a child around 10 years old who has died, and someone had to sever his or her head from the body, remove the skin, muscles, arteries veins and nerves, pull out the tongue, remove the eyes, scrape away any residue left behind, and still cut away the jaw... while getting paid to do so.

I think it is even younger since it appears that most teeth haven't been replaced yet.
User avatar #73 to #69 - luckiestcharms (12/22/2012) [-]
Well the left and right aren't the same person haha.(You can tell by the bottom two front teeth)

The one on the right, the new canines havnt reupted yet, but they are about to. THey erupt from 11-12 yrs old. but the one of the left is definitely less that 6, so good call there.

leave for special insects to eat, they will strip the flesh and leave clean bones

I have a kebab in front of me and now it seems a whole lot less appealing.

Or just place the body in a decomposition area in a contained wooded area and come back after a while when the body is finished decomposing, boil off all of the leftover flesh in a crockpot and remove the skull.

I watched a film called the Body Farm in my anthropology class and it showed the whole process of it.

Iv dissected cadavers, trust me, seeing the face makes people freak the **** out.

It's a dead body incapable of feeling pain or emotion and entirely void of life.

I absolutely love dissections, and covering the cadaver head doesn't make it any less the body of a once-living person. You just need to detach yourself from whatever past the person may have had and presto, it's a cold lump of flesh waiting to be sliced open and examined.

Embalming fluid reeks and then makes your hands stink for the next few hours.
The first dissection was weird for me, and now im not really bothered.

The embalming fluid's stench has never really bothered me.

From what I've heard, the first dissection is always strange. For everyone.

I feel the same way. Have you ever tried cooking grits? When the water goes away, the air has to escape somehow, so it does so through the grits itself. Good god, I get chills just thinking about it.

Trypophobia isn't really a phobia. It's more of a natural fear, like the fear of dying. That's why literally everyone who searches it up also miraculously seems to have it.

As an Osteologist, let my tell you why that's ******** . What you see here in this picture is a sever case of Tooth Impaction, the misplacement and conjointment of un-rooted teeth. The holes you people say you are feeling are most likely the small grooves you have in between each of your teeth, which are filled by solid muscle tissue.
