They're... actually going to add some content to the game?
User avatar #257 to #180 - aquaekk (09/08/2013) [-]
They release a full update, then wait about a month.

Then every week until the next update, they release snapshots.

They do all the time...

No, come on
You can thumb me down all you want because you disagree with me but tell me, how often do they actually add some meaningful content to the game? Every few months? With a company that makes so much money that's really slow.

Yeah, they update stuff every now and then but the last real game changing update was probably the villagers and emeralds one, since then we get smaller updates that aren't worth starting a new world on, they are fun but don't make me want to start again, they need to make this other realm, bring back skylands or something, and they should add an armour/weapon ore to the nether, lots of people I play with would like this because the nether could use something else in it, the only updates its had in a long time was nether skeletons and quartz.

at least once a month, if not every couple weeks

If they updated it too much, it would be changing too fast for the people that play it casually, there would be way too much new **** to learn. How often they update it now is honestly just fine. Their updates, such as this one, are often huge updates that change a lot anyway.

But this is just an optional gamemode
This wouldn't force anyone to learn anything

That isn't the only thing coming with the patch. I've heard they're adding fish, and other new biomes, such as new taiga forests, forests with roof trees, savannas, and a reworked swamp
User avatar #195 to #192 - europe (09/08/2013) [-]
But how does any of this make it more difficult to understand the game?
User avatar #200 to #195 - Atilla (09/08/2013) [-]
Learning mechanics for the areas and added fish

Such as what you can and can't do in those biomes, what spawns in those biomes (anything as far as structures, land generations ((such as rivers and ravines)), mobs, trees, mountains etc.)
And what can you do with the fish? Do they drop anything other than fish (the food)? And if so, what do they drop? What do they spawn in? Obviously, water, but do they spawn in rivers? Oceans? Do different fish spawn in rivers to oceans? Can I make my own pool that fish will spawn in? Will they be worth farming? Can I breed them? if so, how? What would I feed them?

There are countless things to learn.

There are no differences in the biomes in mc that you have to be careful with
The only thing you should be careful with is the desert with it's lack of vegetation and water

It's the same mobs in every single biome, so when it comes to enemies there's no difference whatsoever in all of the biomes if you don't count the nether and the end as biomes

Other than that it's just more hills, more lakes and some snow
And snow doesn't exactly change the gameplay mechanics
User avatar #212 to #204 - Atilla (09/08/2013) [-]
....... You're missing the point. There are things to learn with EVERY single patch. That's undeniable.
#214 to #212 - europe (09/08/2013) [-]
Your point is irrelevant for you don't have to learn anything that you can't learn in two minutes
User avatar #215 to #214 - Atilla (09/08/2013) [-]
Well. I had a conversation with you for about an hour and I think that by now I can safely say that you're ******* stupid.

Did you see all the example questions I gave? There are a lot more questions you could ask for the patch, and that's just for THIS PATCH ALONE.
Besides, I don't care if you're ******* Jesus, you're not learning all that **** in two minutes.
#216 to #215 - europe (09/08/2013) [-]
>punch a tree
>build ****

Yeah, there's so much to learn in that game
