Ready for the apocalypse. There was no radiation protection so i went with the next closest thing.... brilliant idea here. (if Minecraft ran off normal logic/physics) Minecraft the end

User avatar #34 to #2 - noket (12/21/2012) [-]
also because, you know... a tree need some sunlight to recycle air
#117 to #34 - John Cena (12/22/2012) [-]
I am not sure if I am forgetting something but, I think fire does not provide tree with sunlight. I also do not believe all lights are the same as sun light.

Or were you talking about Minecraft light sources?

User avatar #176 to #117 - noket (12/22/2012) [-]
i'm not talking about the fire, i'm saying that a tree need actual sunlight to recycle air, so indoor is pretty useless. no one mentioned fire=sunlight or something...

but... isn't the apocalypse supposed to be that explosion powerful enough to crash the game??
User avatar #31 to #30 - rubixium (12/21/2012) [-]
Upon reloading the game you would be placed a few seconds before the explosion as it couldn't have saved. Basically you would be stuck in a never ending loop, but alive.

It actually can be a really good idea.. Think about it, you start playing minecraft and you have a couple of minecraft days to build a kick ass end of the world shelter, and then meteors and **** start to fall from the sky and you can't go out, and you need to survive within the shelter..
User avatar #42 to #16 - XboxJunky (12/21/2012) [-]
Or you have to survive until the meteor shower is over and then survive in a post-apocalyptic wasteland and fight mutants and survive and **** ...

Or we can swap out meteors for nukes and I could just play Fallout.
User avatar #29 to #16 - ThatsSoFunnyHeHe (12/21/2012) [-]
Theres a mod that is like that.
I forget what its called, but it involves the sun getting hotter and hotter. Each day more things start to burn

"An explosion so powerful it would crash the game".
Isn't this the whole point in world ending?
User avatar #74 - gameshredder (12/22/2012) [-]
what about the 4 holes in the door? The end of the world might sneak through those holes.
#44 - tammus (12/21/2012) [-]
You would need over seven trees to support one human with an indefinite supply of oxygen, and possibly more to account for the CO2 filtering.

Also, a source of sunlight for the trees.
User avatar #155 to #44 - hazardpay ONLINE (12/22/2012) [-]
doesnt that mean we need 49 billion trees to support life on earth with an endless supply of oxygen and therefore we are slowly running out?
User avatar #178 to #155 - bigpizza (12/22/2012) [-]
The amazon rainforest contains around 250 billion trees (well it used to anyway). The actual statistic is more like 20 trees per person to breathe. Google it if you dont believe me.
User avatar #46 to #44 - tankerdude (12/21/2012) [-]
what about artificial light
User avatar #47 to #46 - tammus (12/21/2012) [-]
A UV light, probably, but that also requires a source of energy (could be pedal powered or something similar though).
User avatar #49 to #47 - tankerdude (12/22/2012) [-]
or have a turbine set up through the water
User avatar #62 to #49 - foelkera ONLINE (12/22/2012) [-]
or have a dynamo powered by a cat that has a slice of toast taped butter side up on its back
User avatar #55 to #49 - spikethepony (12/22/2012) [-]
Or use geothermal generators for the doubtlessly massive amounts of lava generated by the end of the world.

The tree won't produce oxygen without light, and also at night it produces CO2 so you're ****** anyway.
User avatar #61 to #20 - dapianoman (12/22/2012) [-]

On MC, trees don't generate Oxygen either, but he put it over there for realistic reasons, therefore, I, realistically, explain to him the reasons that it shouldn't be there. If we were talking about what MC recognizes, we'd better not put the tree there at all!

#87 - captnpl (12/22/2012) [-]
The torch immediately catches the tree on fire and you die overnight anyway.
User avatar #174 - TehGirman (12/22/2012) [-]
So, the bedrock is explosion-proof, but I doubt the front door is.
