Too many plot holes. Lizard man's design was bad. Peter Parker and Spiderman were the same person, as opposed to the better iterations where Parker is a loner and Spiderman is the brash one. It tried to be gritty like Nolan, but the cheesy parts were cheesier than Raimi's, but without the fun.

It seems some of you want me to explain the plot holes. Well here's a big one, and spoilers for those who haven't watched it yet.

How the hell does he get down from the tower at the end when his web is destroyed, and they established in an earlier scene that he cannot climb on the glass?

Lizard Man was Peter's professor. I don't think they showed that in the movie.

That doesn't matter, as the movie was no better or worse for not having that. If you want to go there I can complain about how Gwen never knew about Spiderman, or how the Captain wasn't killed by Lizard Man, but as long as they make a good interpretation, I don't care.

After all, I love how stupidly cheesy the first Spiderman is, and I'm not complaining about the lack of Gwen and the bridge.

Oh Gwen will meet the bridge, have no fear of that. The question is will they do it in the second or third movie? My money is on third, seems like a good way to end the trilogy.

I was talking about Raimi's films there.

Ah. Well she was only really in Raimis films for the sake of having her there.
