I wish they would bring back the Ocarina of Time and Majoras Mask style of gaming.

I enjoy both types, but I agree that the more serious stuff is more interesting to me. Skyward Sword really wasn't all that happy like the other cel-shaded games. Kinda depressing if you can get back how damn sexy the landscapes are.

****** are you for real? It's been two generations and two main series games since then.

I...actually like Zelda II a lot.

Hey... Hey... Sailing around the ocean, going from island to island just exploring is one of the most relaxing things ever. The game is just so good. I would say that Wind Waker is my favorite of all the Zelda's I've played and I will DEFEND IT TO THE DEATH.
User avatar #78 to #54 - arstya (01/20/2013) [-]
The first time, yes. Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks? Beating a dead horse.
User avatar #106 to #78 - duvallwhitey (01/22/2013) [-]
That is what ruined it for me.
User avatar #101 to #78 - seratyo ONLINE (01/20/2013) [-]
Although Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks weren't perfect, I still enjoyed. I prefer Minish Cap though...
User avatar #102 to #101 - arstya (01/20/2013) [-]
Don't compare Minish to them. Minish was awesome.
User avatar #103 to #102 - seratyo ONLINE (01/20/2013) [-]
Minish Cap was pretty ******* sweet, but why not compare them? They are both hand-held Legend of Zelda games.
User avatar #104 to #103 - arstya (01/20/2013) [-]
Because Phantom and Spirit were...ugh...bunch of boring chart planning and train warfare.

I came to fight giant monsters with a sword, not use a cannon mounted on a train.
User avatar #105 to #104 - seratyo ONLINE (01/20/2013) [-]
That's just the travelling aspect. Some of the bosses in Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks were alright. The only original boss I can remember from Minish Cap (Except for Vaati of course) was the flying mantas.

You dislike different Zelda simply because of their different graphics styles? What kind of fan are you?
Your opinion is bad and you should feel bad.
User avatar #131 to #29 - darrensankari (04/17/2013) [-]
So what if he can't deal with the graphics. Is that a crime?
User avatar #132 to #131 - darthblam (04/17/2013) [-]
Also, why are you on a 3 month old post?
User avatar #107 to #29 - duvallwhitey (01/22/2013) [-]
So basically what you're saying is, if I like Picasso's type of art, but I don't particularly fancy Van Goh's, that makes me a bad person?
I must be a dense mother ****** .
User avatar #108 to #107 - darthblam (01/22/2013) [-]
Your analogy is wrong and is not the same as this situation.
We're talking about video games here bud. Video games by the same people that are apart of the same franchise. To say one is bad and another is good ONLY because of their graphics styles is just stupid.
User avatar #109 to #108 - duvallwhitey (01/22/2013) [-]
The graphics and style are basically art. I can like and dislike anything I want.
I don't even know why I bother, seeing how FJ is where opinions come to die.
Have fun playing with your girly, big headed Toon Link, and furiously thumbing me down as if it will make you feel better.
#110 to #109 - darthblam (01/22/2013) [-]
Son, you need to grow the **** up and quit focusing on the graphics of games and have fun with them for what they are: good games.

In all honesty, Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask are just as cartoony looking as Skyward Sword so I don't understand how you are being so bitchy about it. Your argument is starting to sound more like hipster " **** the new stuff, all the old stuff is always better" ******** than any real reason.

The toon zelda is more lighthearted than dark. I mean, OoT had a temple used to absorb the evil of the world and demons, and Majora had...well, Majora. And Termina, which was nightmarish enough with its blasphemous temples and a devil figure.
#59 to #29 - anon (01/19/2013) [-]
I guess he's a zelda fan? I see where you're coming from, I enjoy all zeldas but there is an element of immersion from the fantasy style that OoT to SS that makes people like it more than the toonyness of WW.

Twilight princess? Skyward Sword?
User avatar #17 to #16 - duvallwhitey (01/19/2013) [-]
Twilight Princess was the end of it
Skyward Sword I could not take seriously.
User avatar #18 to #17 - zerosonaku ONLINE (01/19/2013) [-]
Why the **** not? Skyward sword Is supposed to be the start of the legend.
User avatar #33 to #18 - kobemamba (01/19/2013) [-]
Was it really? It makes some sense but I thought Demise was a reincarnation of Ganon
But i'm terrible with the Zelda timelines so I'm probably wrong
#37 to #33 - ufoflash (01/19/2013) [-]
Er.. its more like the other way around actually. Gannon is sort of a reincarnation of Demise. Skyward Sword was supposed to be the first in the time line of Zelda games.
User avatar #39 to #37 - kobemamba (01/19/2013) [-]
I knew I missed something in the game thanks for clearing it up
User avatar #35 to #33 - waffies (01/19/2013) [-]

Skyward Sword looks....so....childish
#65 to #19 - anon (01/19/2013) [-]
SS's story is much, much deeper and moving than OoT. You're a faggot.
#58 to #19 - darthblam (01/19/2013) [-]
I grew up playing OoT and Majora's Mask the same way you did. I love them both. The new games are just as great as the others were and I love them just as much. Your histper-like dislike of the newer games based soley on their graphics is absolute ******** and horrible closed minded.

Once again your opinion is bad and you should feel bad.
User avatar #20 to #19 - zerosonaku ONLINE (01/19/2013) [-]
Don't let that deter you. I Loved Ocarina's Story, It is still fresh in my mind and I haven't even played it for a long time. And Majoras Masks gameplay was nut-burstingly awsome. But Skyward sword Takes the best elements from both and makes a great game. It may not be the exact same, but who wants some Copypasta? Try it, it's awesome, you won't regret it.
User avatar #22 to #20 - peanutbuttahjellah (01/19/2013) [-]
Not to mention they take full advantage of the motion controls as well as it having absolutely amazing music.

And to not love the look of it is just insane. So what if it's not realistic? They like to keep it rated E, so quite literally everyone can enjoy it. I think people need to get over it already and just enjoy how wonderful the watercolour style art works.
User avatar #81 to #22 - arstya (01/20/2013) [-]
I was honestly baffled that the controls worked as well as they did.
User avatar #85 to #81 - peanutbuttahjellah (01/20/2013) [-]
Indeed. It makes me sad that people often blame the motion controls on improper inputs rather then themselves though.
