I absolutely love browsing this channel, but I haven't finished all the routes, so I try to avoid spoilers..I hate spoilers a lot. I always appreciate when people posting spoilers warn people of the content included. So, thanks OP!

Your title was quite misleading.

I apologize for that. I thought it would be a good witty title. Excellent picture.

Oh its witty, it caught me good.

I like the idea, it's creative and original :)
(I will use it in the future, trust me haha, Rin is awesome)
But i also remember a post of someone demonstrating what the word Rin was implying when saying that.
To sum it up:
- When she's sleeping the class, she gets tears in her eyes and all. She wakes up and tells Hisao that she had a dream but she'll tell him later.
- At the end of her good route she says: "Whats the word for when it feels inside your heart that everything in the world is all right?"
- The act's title is "Dream"
So we can imagine that she had dreamed about the good end (being happy with Hisao) and that she's trying to say that it's like a dream.
I thought it was interesting haha here's the post itself

I like the idea. But I'm not sure. I can follow the train of thought but I'm not sure if it's quite right. I think that the devs were playing with the idea that Rin doesn't know the right words to say what she means and then used it as end that was very, very sweet and I honestly love it just like that. "Dream", if you want to take it literally, doesn't mean what Rin said. If you said that the title of the act meant to symbolize Rin's dream of never being alone, sure. But to say that dream is that word she's asking, it kinda feels like putting a square block in a circular hole, you're trying to shoehorn it in.
I think I would need a better elaboration on the idea because I can feel it but I can't feel it, if that makes sense.

I see, I see. Interesting. Maybe the developers left it as a question for us to reflect on it, so that we would try and associate a word to that "feeling" or like you did, make up one. In any case, it makes for a good topic for a conversation between Shoubros, since we'll all form our own view or opinion it. It's nice. :)
I also enjoy how Katawa Shoujo is being more noticed now.
Who's your favorite route/girl? :3
User avatar #16 to #14 - puccypirateisback **User deleted account** (01/28/2013) [-]
That is a fantastic question and I would happily answer that. Although I have not done Lily's or Hanako's route yet, my favorite girl would be Emi because she was my first and the athlete in me loves her. I love Rin's good ending, that's the only thing that would trump Emi's arc is Rin's good ending. Now when I say Emi is my favorite girl, I don't mean that all the other girls are less than her (I am saying that). I enjoyed Rin's route, unbearable as Rin is but I loved her moments of vulnerability after all the monotone, hide-my-feelings charades she pulls. I choked up a little when she cried in her sleep and when the art teacher, I forget his name, told of the artist that killed himself, my heart was pounding in my chest and it almost brought me to tears when I saw Rin sitting on the floor. I did Shizune today, actually, and though I liked her route, I think it was the first route the devs might have done since it is different and wasn't as impactful as say Rin or Emi's and I enjoyed the first sex scene and my heart was again gripped in fear when Misha said she just wanted to die. I would have done exactly what Hisao did. But both the bad ending and the good ending weren't up to par with what I had with Emi or Rin.

Sorry about the novel but you asked.

No problem whatsoever, I like hearing out people's opinion (especially when it's this constructive) or just talking about our feelings and experience from Katawa Shoujo. It's interesting and nice to get so many different insights on it and also, to notice or hear about changes or reflections made after completing it. I'm really glad to be part of this community! :D

Hehe, welcome to the family! :D I hope that we all get to know each other eventually, it'd be really cool o:
So, what routes have you done? :3

Aaaah okay okay , I know that feeling!
I had a similar reaction to when I completed Hanako's route first with the good end. I stopped for 2-3 weeks just to get over the feeling of it to try another one. Katawa Shoujo invokes so many feelings in me, it's incredible!
And anytime sir! I like being a sort of "Welcoming" committee here, I've introduced two Shoubros to other Shoubros ^^ So if you'd like, I could do the same for you! Always nice to have more people to befriend and to talk to about this :3

At first, I would like to say 'Happiness'.

Though, upon further thought, I realized Rin would likely say 'No.. That's not quite it.' without letting her smile fade.

I don't think she likes to make up names. Probably cuz she likes to draw them instead. I feel like writing something on how she might react to what I said up there. I wish I could change the game around to make it that way.

Interesting word, though. I don't think I would use it all that often. I might, though. Definitely might.

I should still write something like that out, anyways.

Is this an actual word that you could find in a dictionary? If not dats pretty cool.
User avatar #5 to #4 - puccypirateisback **User deleted account** (01/28/2013) [-]
our research has shown that Ruhe means peace and tranquilly in German. We just threw Rin on there to make it a little Rinny.
User avatar #3 - iweirdo (01/28/2013) [-]
And there I thought that there was already a definition for feeling content.
User avatar #37 - modernclassmusic ONLINE (01/29/2013) [-]
Happiness, OP... it's happiness...
User avatar #38 to #37 - puccypirateisback **User deleted account** (01/29/2013) [-]
I honestly thought that too. But then I thought of peace. Rin's question is hard to answer because it is so specific. There is no word that word for word means what Rin asks. This is word that my friend and I had made is just a thought. We aren't going to campaign for it to be instituted into Webster's dictionary but it's a word that if you would like to use, you are welcome to.

Safe? Happy? Loved? Protected? Unburdened? Peace? Content?

Even I cant define the words fully and completely. =(
#39 - anon (04/09/2013) [-]
I thought the answer was "Happiness"
#34 - riddari (01/28/2013) [-]
Isn't that simply being content?
User avatar #33 - thesoulless ONLINE (01/28/2013) [-]
It feels really awkward to say it.

Honestly, I think 'rin' would be enough.
User avatar #31 - charlessigma (01/28/2013) [-]
I always thought it was happiness, but I like this word better it really fits.

hey i saw this thread, now i know why people comment this. this is weird i always wondered why they thought anyone else cared but i just felt like saying it, i don't really expect anyone to care. this must be how all of those other people felt, i'll never thumb down a comment like this again.
User avatar #29 - narutardg (01/28/2013) [-]
i love this word. can you believe there's a word for this now? this actually does describe a feeling i've always had before i tried the game out. it's perfect. there's nothing else like it. for once i feel glad, with a shot of happy on the side through realization. thumbs for everyone.
