the wandering albatross has a wingspan almost as big (up to 11.5 ft and unconfirmed reports of up to 17 ft) however it's body is smaller and its wings are not as wide. It can stay in the air for days or even weeks and travel up to 400 miles without even flapping it's wings once

The Phorusrhacidae, or terror birds, were huge flightless birds. The largest of these, such as Brontornis, Titanis, and Phorusrhacos (where the clade gets its name), could stand up to 8-10 feet tall. So yeah, there's that.

Then you've got the moa, a 12 foot tall, herbivorous bird which was hunted to extinction by native New Zealanders.

My grandfather used to recite to me a beautiful poem;

Little birdy flying by,
Dropped some white-wash in my eye.
I don't care, I don't cry.
I'm just glad that cows don't fly.
