To this day I still don't understand why everyone hated the water temple. I never had a problem with it. Always finished it in about the same amount of time as all the other temples. So could someone explain why it was so hard? (Only water temple that kicked my ass was in Twilight Princess)

Fox: We're entering Kokiri forest. All range Mode!

Slippy: We got a problem. our shields are for taking hits from lasers.

Fox: so?

Slippy: Link is using a boomerang! It's not an energy based weapon.

Fox: ...... **** .

Super Mario was the best N64 game

They are missing a fact:

It is possible to beat that bunnyhood guy in a race.
1. Talk to him as adult and challenge him
2. Go back in time.
3. Wait at the bridge.
4. Leave the game on for about a week
5. The game automatically puts you as adult link at the bridge after a certain amount of time.

.... Nintendo stated you can't beat him. They ran out of time and ideas for a reward and just didn't take him out. And the only way to become adult is to gain the Master sword.

Though a nice idea, that is false. The running man simply cannot be beat, my evidence is this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=9OPc59pdu08&feature=related

the only thing on the timeline part. not all the zelda games are related or derived from each other. The Windwaker is probably the only game intentionally meant to be a sequel for OoT. Twilight Princess is kind of an alternate story taking place in Hyrule
User avatar #130 to #124 - RandomAnonGuy (10/16/2012) [-]
Also Majoras Mask was a direct sequel to OoT

Oh, yeah. Forgot about that one, duh. lol

I nave never played Zelda... None of the games.... I'm not that bothered.
User avatar #122 - viscerys (10/16/2012) [-]
Damn. I have to dig out my N64 from the darkest depths of my home.
User avatar #120 - ivoryhammer (10/16/2012) [-]
Here's one, Miyamoto thought that they would have to use a similar way of entering levels from Mario 64, because he wasn't sure if the cartridge would hold all the data.

2:29 is the water temple record played by Jiano
and theres probably a TAS thats faster
User avatar #118 - pulluspardus (10/16/2012) [-]
I'm probably one of the few that doesn't remember the water temple being so hard and frustrating.
User avatar #121 to #118 - ivoryhammer (10/16/2012) [-]
I don't think it's hard, it's just tedious.
#115 - nicktheslayer (10/16/2012) [-]
So, a few things.

1. The Water Temple isn't hard, it's just ONE damn key no one can seem to find. That's it. Not saying where, because spoilers.

2. It's hardly a Super Mario 64 engine. They rewrote the whole thing due to the games being so radically different.

3. The timeline has been released for a long time now. You shouldn't post something THIS outdated. I believe if you were fan enough to post this, you would know better.

4. Zora's were humanoid in A Link to the Past, and The Adventure of Link. This is the first game where they were more of a friendly fish/human hybrid, than your typical "Creature From the Black Lagoon" form.

5. I've never heard about this "Create your own dungeon". Considering it's the N64, (Or in this case, the slightly improved, but cancelled N64DD), I'm calling ******** . It couldn't handle it.

**** . I was so excited to see more Zelda on the frontpage. Even though I'm an expert, I like reading Fact Comps, but this.. this hurt to read. Stop this.

watch out, we got a badass over there
User avatar #113 - aerius (10/16/2012) [-]
seriously? You reposted this from before they released the timeline?
User avatar #112 - itwasntnsfw (10/16/2012) [-]
How long is a while? Because one time I left it on, not knowing this "fact", for about an hour. No song.
#116 to #112 - nicktheslayer (10/16/2012) [-]
That probably means you didn't make a song on that file. If you had, well. I can't say he's correct about the means to hear the song, but i do know you can find the song after you beat Ganon.

...

Just checked the internet. 1-2 minutes should do the trick, apparently. There used to be something about it on Zeldawiki.org, but looking again, I don't see anything, which does sort of take away a bit of credibility. I will test it for myself later.
User avatar #144 to #116 - itwasntnsfw (10/16/2012) [-]
I always had the song. And it was so dam simple. >V>V>V>V
