While i belive that her reaction was ******* moronic in the show. Jorah did a real poor job of presenting his case.
If he would say **** that's here that would be much better.
#76 to #7 - ohemgeezus (06/08/2014) [-]
The show did a pretty bad job at this scene, in the books it's pretty much implied that he would have been allowed to stay, until he said that, "you owe me, I love you".

And I agree with your comment #26, her parts are boring as **** until the end ADWD
User avatar #15 to #7 - drololol (06/07/2014) [-]
From this part of the story Dany becomes as stupid as Cersey. She should just take her army, her dragons and go conquer Westeros. The Kingdoms had to many bloodshed in a very short amount of time. Stark Vs Lannister; Baratheon Vs Baratheon; Baratheon Vs Lannister; Greyjoy Vs Everybody-with-coastal-lands. She won't have almost any resistance, and even if does, she has a fresh 8k unsullied army and 3 dragons. She can also hire some armies with Mereen's gold.
But no, she starts caring for slaves and goes full retarded trying to save everyone. Pisses me off.
#62 to #15 - anon (06/07/2014) [-]
She's staying in Meereen to learn how to rule, that's clear as day
IMO, the biggest and only real actually bad mistake was how she treated her dragons starting from Meereen. Plus, she kept trying to please a bunch of people and it couldn't work

Cersei is on another level entirely . Cersei thinks she is invincible because she is a Lannister and is so obsessed with herself . If you're caught up with the books you'll realize that she will no longer make this mistake and is now much more dangerous (look at what happens in the Epilogue)
While Danny is simply a young uneducated girls in the art of Kingdom ruling. She couldn't take Westeros if she wanted with her young as **** dragons, Sieging any castle would be impossible. With the dragons, only one is big enough to ride by the end of the books and she now too realizes her mistakes and is now much more dangerous.

You're going to be super ******* disappointed then. She inherits all of Drogo's power and authority, creates a small army of dragons, and is all set to save Westeros from itself.

If she doesn't Robb Stark'd in the next book, I'm dropping the series. This **** goes on for longer than you would ******* believe.

Jorah sold people into slavery, which against the laws of Westeros. He had married this spoiled cunt of a woman and had ruined his family's finances to keep her happy on Bear Island Stark gave him the decision to run or join the Watch. He took the cowards way out. Then Varys offered him the chance to get back to Westeros, and reclaim his birthright, if he spied on Dany for him. He lied to her, spied on her, and only kept her alive to further his own gains. The assassination attempt on her life and her unborn child's life in the Dothraki city was because of his information. . She has every right in the world to be mad at him and banish him. Get your head out of your ass, you "fedora" wearing idiot and stop whining about the non-existent "friendzone".

User avatar #90 to #68 - mikepetru (06/08/2014) [-]
This has nothing to do with him being friendzone. The point is that BEFORE she found out about all this, he had freely chosen to give up a chance to go home in order to serve her, not only because he loved her, but also because as he traveled with her that she would make a kind and just ruler. Contrary to what you seem to believe, he wasn't doing all of that just to get in her pants. A person can feel genuine love and respect for a person of the opposite sex without their ultimate goal being to **** that person. My point is that Dany feels that his past actions define who he is, despite the fact that he is no longer that person and is now completely devoted to her and her cause.
User avatar #94 to #90 - Mebeshe (06/08/2014) [-]
He's not devoted. He just realises that Daney's the best chance he has of getting Bear Island back. He's not stupid.
User avatar #95 to #94 - mikepetru (06/08/2014) [-]
I don't think you understand how a pardon works. If he betrayed Dany, he'd get Bear Island back. All he had to do was go home and let Dany drink the wine. He had a chance to get Bear Island back. All he had to do was let her die. He didn't. That would have been the easiest way to get Bear Island back.
User avatar #96 to #95 - Mebeshe (06/08/2014) [-]
******** and you know it. Stark was Hanf of the King and Stark would never have let that happen. Jorah broke the law and Stark is all about the law.
User avatar #104 to #96 - commontroll (06/09/2014) [-]
It doesn't matter what Ned wants when the King issues a pardon. The king trumps everyone else in power numbnuts.
User avatar #102 to #96 - mikepetru (06/08/2014) [-]
Robert = King
Ned = King's Hand
King > King's Hand

Had Robert lived to make good on his pardon and Jorah chose to go home, it wouldn't matter what Ned wanted
User avatar #88 to #68 - EdwardNigma (06/08/2014) [-]
The assassination which he stopped. Later protecting her even further, and as the post said, choosing the ******* DESERT for MONTHS instead of the nice cosy Bear Island. Then he literally wades through **** to get into Meereen.

Look me in the eye and tell me you would rather walk through the desert and live in **** ******* Slavers Bay over nice cosy Bear Island. Plus, can you really blame a guy for trying to keep his wife happy? If I remember right, he did love her as well.
User avatar #93 to #88 - Mebeshe (06/08/2014) [-]
Hell yeah I'd rather have Slaver's Bay than Bear Island. It's warmer and there's more things to do. And once a spy, always a spy. You can't trust someone who spied against you, even if they claim to have turned their coat. You always know in the back of your head that their loyalties and affections can be bought for the right price.
User avatar #74 to #68 - trollmobile (06/08/2014) [-]
actually, he was a scumbag, then he gave up everything for her.

Doesn't change the fact all he needs is a fedora and a plush pony to fit in with modern culture.
#106 - anon (06/20/2014) [-]
Actually Jorah's family holdings are not a lap of luxury, his family's castle is really more of a hall, relatively small for a lord's seat and made of wood, their family don't have much money at all in fact. The reason Jorah started selling slaves was to pay for his southern wife's expensive tastes, being from one of the richest houses and from the Reach she wasn't used to the hard living of the North.

In the books she's a little more justified n this; for a while now he's been rivalling Littlefinger in borderline-paedophilia wen it comes to Dany and she lets him off easy for the spying (he has to do a task for her) but he then has a go at her for it, saying that despite him spying on het, forcing kisses on he etc he's always been a loyal servant and its her who should apologise to him. Dany realises she cant let someone even her bff Jorah) say this **** to her and get away with it if she wans to be taken seriously as a ruler, and so banishes him.
#54 - rundas (06/07/2014) [-]
Not to mention Barristan. She banished him because he didn't die for a tyrant and support a lost cause. Now, she only needs her new allies--that she got because of Jorah and Barristan-- who joined her because of her power or obligation or because they were forced-- not those that were with her from the beginning, when she had nothing.
