I didn't feel the need to circle anything in red. In case you don't get it a black protestor is holding up a sign that says being black is not a crime.... The black protestors then proceed to riot, loot, etc. Sorry for another political post after my last one but come on this is gold!

Because in my humble opinion it was never about being seen as villains or about justice. It was about getting revenge and an us vs. them mentality. I don't care if you agree with me or not but you have to admit that protesting what you believe is an act of violence with... violence, is moronic to say the least. Especially when that violence is directed at people on the other side of the country.

the "Self-appointed" leader of the neighbourhood watch.
it's not his job, it's something he wanted to do. he put himself in that situation, and anyone else who followed someone who they suspected of being a criminal for several blocks, before confronting them, would be a moron if they didn't expect to get beaten up.

Except he was armed. so now he's a crime fighting hero. well done George. well done America.

he didnt carry the gun to be a crime fighting hero, he had it to protect himself. He followed a suspicious person and defended himself when he was being attacked.

And why does it matter if he wanted to be the neighborhood watch leader? he wasnt putting himself there so he could shoot people. If my neighborhood had a watch group i would make myself the leader. Im a veteran and i would love to help keep my neighbors safe. I would also carry my gun. All that says about america or me as a person is that i take pride in my country and want to keep everyone safe. I wouldnt go around just shooting people but if after following a suspect i was attacked and overpowered i would probably shoot (although at 5'10'' and 210lbs of muscle i probably wouldnt be overpowered easily.)

Just as Zimmerman stopped following him, and started heading home, Trayvon attacked him.

that was dumb. he racial profiled him. he wouldn't have followed a white kid with a hoodie. then again who would? and the police told him to stop following him. trayvon should not have attacked him but he should not have followed him. at the end of the day a kid was killed. they both were at fault but zimmerman instigated. step your game up son.

Actually, Zimmerman's neighbourhood has had a long history of violent B&E, rape, etc and all of them from teenagers, both white and black. There is no evidence to say that he would have let a strange suspicious white kid go either.

(07/17/2013) [-]
First off, you don't know if he wouldn't have. If I saw anyone in a baggy hoodie slowly walking around a private neighborhood, regardless of race, I would be suspicious. If it was my job, as head of the neighborhood watch, to follow this person and make sure they weren't up to no good, I would follow them.

Second, the police DISPATCH said they didn't need him to follow Trayvon. It was not an order, nor was it an explicit request.

Third, evidence suggested that, although Zimmerman followed, Trayvon was the one who lashed out physically, AFTER making derogatory racial remarks at Zimmerman. At the end of the day, a life was lost, but it was the victim who instigated this. The only legal charge Zimmerman should be found guilty of is Vigilante-ism.

first off no one would follow a white kid in a hoodie. Nobody. It was racial profiling. there is literally nothing you can say to change that. and he instigated by following him. if i followed you. you would do the same. why wouldnt he lash out. he is a kid? isnt that what kids do? lash out when something they dont like is going on. He still should have listened to the suggestion because he had 0 grounds to follow him. kid does what he is taught. to stand up for himself. Even though he did it wrongly he shouldnt have followed the kid. ZImmerman started this whole situation.

I'm white. I've followed white kids in my neighborhood wearing hoodies and running away.

My mom was on the phone with the cops and I got in my car and followed them. And this was in the DAY TIME. Turns out they were just going to a bonfire and they were sneaking around in the trees next to my house where we had a stack of firewood trying to get some of it. Had they asked, we would have told them to take as much as they wanted. Totally innocent, not a big deal, would have been better to just ask.

If I see someone parked for too long sitting in their car on my street, I go talk to them. If I see someone just hanging out on my street, I open my garage, get a chair and just watch. If it's night time, I call the cops and make it very obvious that I'm watching them.

Why wouldn't he lash out? Because a well raised, respectful person would raise his hands to show there is no hostility and begin a conversation. I've been on that side of things too, and I was younger than Martin.

Being black doesn't make a person stupid, you've done that on your own. Same with everyone protesting this crap.

Yes they ******* would. Isn't that racism on your part now? Assuming all white kids in hoodies are well mannered and black people aren't? Teens in hoodies look suspicious no matter the colour because of the stereotype that thugs dress like that. I would follow a white kid because where I live there are actually MORE white hoodied chavs than black.

why wouldnt he lash out. he is a kid? isnt that what kids do? lash out when something they dont like is going on.
NO thats what pathetic thugs do. If you raise a child to attack whenever they dont like something you have something seriously wrong with you. HE was the one who started with insults first and then attacked first. "Stand up for himself". Zimmerman reportedly didnt attack him first, nor insult him. He just followed him as part of his neighbourhood watch duty. Nobody was causing the kid to 'stand up for himself' when it was the KID who was attacking FIRST.

From what I have read, Zimmerman saw someone walking in the dark with a hoodie behind houses in the rain. He was on the neighborhood watch and somewhat suspicious so he began following him and called the cops. After the 911 operator told him he didn't need to follow him Zimmerman stopped and heading back to his car. But Treyvon confronted him and began throwing punches. Zimmerman reportedly cried for help dozens of times before shooting Treyvon (who was on top of him, punching and banging Zimmerman's head on the pavement.) This wasn't a race issue and the only signs of racism came from Treyvon himself who had referred to Zimmerman as a "creepy ass cracker". If Treyvon hadn't been killed he may have been charged with assault.

George also lied about what Trayvon supposedly did to his head. He said Trayvon bashed his head on the concrete. You get contusions or even jagged lacerations. Zimmerman's head injuries are straight cuts. Not possible from a head bashing. Also Trayvon was shot in the back. Arguing self defense is ****. Zim is a 30 yr old 200 lb guy, Trayvon, a 17 yr old 100 lb boy. ********. Zim also called the police and was told not to pursue the boy, he did. Again, self defense, ********. Once your "attacker" turns his back and walks away, the threat is over. No need to shoot him.

He was explicitly told NOT to pursue the "suspicious man"

I mean, that's about it. It's not about color, or self defense or anything. His job is to observe and report. He shouldn't have gone anywhere near Trayvon, he was told not to.

That's the way I see it.

Actually the police dispatchers aren't allowed to give orders, merely suggestions.

"Sean Noffke, the dispatcher who was on the phone during Zimmerman's non-emergency call, testified regarding his own statements at that time. Noffke said that when he told Zimmerman "We don't need you to do that," he was making a suggestion, not giving an order. He said that dispatchers do not give orders because of liability issues..."

That's what annoys me. Mr. King was an influential man, and worked so blacks could have rights just like the whites. He did rallies and taught through intelligence, empathy, and charisma. None of these people are appreciating what they have in life and are perpetuating the stereotypes of all people.

Ok, I'm sorry to say this, but we are getting another psycho-extremist-racist group that is going to ruin everything their community has been trying to build up since the days of MLK.
These people are going to get into my comparison book with groups like Al-Qaeda that doesn't understand horse **** about what they are doing to their cause. Probably good that they are running themselves in the gutter before they gained to much political foothold... so now we are only stuck with buerocrats (?), happy world...

MLK stood for nonviolence, he was actually a true black rights activist. When he would gather a protest, he would discourage everyone to fight back when the police were abusing their power. Back then the police beat the **** out of black people who don't deserve it, now that black people run around like *******, the public/media is too sensitive to do anything about it. Also because they ******* outnumber the cops in certain areas.

MLK was against violence, they would protest and not put of a "fight" when the cops came. If the cops were violent and beat the peaceful protesters they would use that as fuel for their fight. As a white man I would back MLK if he were doing what he did then in today's time. It is amazing how fast people can give up on all that people fought for for so long. These ******* should be ashamed. (i said ******* not blacks, ive know plenty of nice black people and have nothing against them)

Posting as anon because this about sending a message not thumbs and if i wanted thumbs i would be spamming popular opinions on everything to get my greedy green thumbs

You'd be retarded to think that Trayvon's race is what got him killed.

Funny how these protesters always seem to ignore the part where Trayvon went on the attack. It's like they've blocked it from their minds.

I dunno, if a guy like G.Zimmerman was following me around late at night, I might attack him too.

Why? You don't know what they're going to do. It's one thing to be on edge, and another thing to attack someone just because of a hypothetical.

While I haven't seen or read much in to the incident myself (I don't really care about it), I'd like to point out that that is an entirely plausible and almost likely explanation for any sort of protest or movement; that the people substantiating that movement are either willingly or subconsciously blocking rather evident facts from their mind entirely in order to justify their actions. It's the exact same concept as doublethink, a term from George Orwell's 1984. Look that up if you don't understand the reference, I'd also suggest reading the book because it's very good.

That.. That's a great connection! I've read 1984 several times and yes that's exactly the same concept. This is pretty messed up.

Actually, his race did get him killed. Because his race is what made Zimmerman follow him in the first place.

Besides, Trayvon was on his own in the middle of the night, when suddenly someone with a gun starts stalking him.

Even if Trayvon did attack first, I'd say it was justified.

Are you retarded? You can't just assault and attempt to kill someone just because they approach you in a creepy manner. That's not justified in any way.

Where's your evidence for racism? If you're going to make a claim you'd better back it up. Otherwise, I'm just going to mark that as "full of ****" and ignore it.

Trayvon did not know Zimmerman had a gun when he was confronted. The gun was holstered and away from view.

Stop rationalizing.

In Pittsburgh yesterday, a 6 year old (yes that young) black male was stopped by an officer for trying to steal bikes and the kid bit the officer and tried to unholster his pistol. The officer, shocked, threw him in the back of his car. Now the family is claiming the officer physically abused the kid.

What is it with this kind of **** lately??

That logic honestly just makes you seem retarded. I read a comment that said" being black isnt a crime, acting black is". It could have been a kid of any race, he didnt do what he did just because he was black, thats some 1900s racism right there.
