I remember how simple, yet devastating some of those older effect monster cards were

Guys, Maiden is too good! I don't know how I lived without this card!

TCG name is ******* ******** though

What the hell, that card seems half broken.

It's basically a free Blue Eyes summon if anybody does anything to it.

Pretty much, though she does have her downsides. You can chain to her eff to negate it with Veiler and Fiendish Chain. You can only use one eff per turn and only once that turn and she had no protection against mass removal. Pretty much any deck can deal with her. The real fun comes from triggering her yourself and getting free 3000k Vanilla beaters every turn.

Well, it certainly seems like a must have for most Blue Eyes decks.

Especially since the special summon can be from hand, deck, or graveyard.

Yup, by far the best support any classic archtyppe has received in the history of the game.

Blue-Eyes recently got it's own starter deck, it comes with his big brother

Big brother? If Blue eyes took steroids and was incharge of the mob then he could be half the dragon azure is, Ive used azure to summon three blue eyes back fusion for ultimate sac for shining resummon all three blue eyes and refuse (fusion gate) and still summon two blue eyes back to the field. It was magnificent.

That would take a rediculous amount of set up over a course of a few turns and your opponent would have to do absolutely nothing about you summoning blue eyes's and sitting on them until you have enough to "overextend". Theres also the fact that going for azure eyes to protect your field full of dragons is a hell of a lot better than summoning blue eyes shining, which can only protect itself. Also azure eyes is not for summoning crazy fields of strong monsters its really more of defensive card to try and stall for a turn or protect your other cards.

It took like 10 turns but it was against a rock defense deck where its supposed to be its attacked and you lose lp because of supporting traps raising its def and a field spell doubling damage you receive from attacking a def position monster with more defense than your attack.

I also used a couple silver's cry a call of the haunted and I think monsters reborn to bring the blue-eyes back I managed to pretty much resummon 3 blue eyes a turn for two turns then got lucky with a swords of revealing light.

Duelingnetwork on unlimited unrated so I was against a noob but I got my cards setup like I wanted

Soooo why would you get rid of 9k attack, for 4.5k attack? And not to mention blue eyes can get over most monsters. It just seems like a waste to use fusion on three blue eyes. They are **** , but blue eyes ultimate is **** with more attack points.
#26 to #25 - RageGuyyourmom (12/29/2013) [-]
You slash the attack for future gains. You can compare size all day but in the end if you couldn't protect it for one turn youre boned anyways and after that summon a blue eyes a turn and you should be okay 4.5k attack once < 3 3k attacks

I remember the best duel I ever played. I had constructed a Pyro deck with numerous low-star fires. Ended up with an Ultimate Baseball Kid stacked to 4000 A

Tl;dr I sweeped my sisters trap/mage deck with only a few cards.

I once played a close game against my cousin, back in the day. I'm at 500LP and he's at 1400LP. He wipes out my field, except for a set Just Desserts, and has 2 monsters with a combined ATK of about 3200. He gets greedy and acts like a jerk, summons a third monster, I flip Just Desserts and win it!

Never understood why this didn't have the same stats so it could be practically the opposite. Could cause a red vs blue side and send cars sales up a bit.
