From the NDS game "The World Ends With You". It's by Square Enix, and a really amazing game. His real name is...Daisukenojo Bito? I think? But he hates being called that, and asks people to refer to him as "Beat".

I definitely recommend looking into it then! It's one of my favorite games of all time! Combat system is fantastic and unique, the story is pretty awesome, the characters are awesome (Except for Joshua), and the extra story you get to play though at the end is absolutely hilarious! It's a 10/10 in my book, and tied for my favorite game ever!

If you can, then get it. There are also a ton of other great games for DS, so it's not a bad investment. (Mind you, I mean the first Nintendo DS, not the 3DS.) I also recommend you do not look up any videos, go on the wiki, or anything for the game. There is a huge amount of possible spoilers for the game.

No idea where Nier is, sorry. ._.

Oh, I thought that was a location in the world and...yeah. .___.

What's Nier? And what system is it for?

ps3 is what i have it for...maybe xbox too?

i actually put it on hold for a moment which is odd cuz i really do love it
best explanation i can give is its got the brilliant story and imagery of final fantasy mixed with the dope run-around-and-slash-and-burn gameplay of the legend of zelda. but only with sword and magic. still pretty sick though. oh and the item and upgrade system of final fantasy as well

main character looks kind of angry though lmao i think if you google the gameplay it shouldn't give too much away

"The game follows the fifth ending of Drakengard, the events of which have left the planet Earth in a state of decay."

Found that on the Wiki. No wonder it sounded familiar. I've played Drakengard before on the PS2 and it was a pretty great game.

Hmmm, I might've seen it floating around a bit. It sounds pretty fun and interesting! Unfortunately, I don't have an Xbox or PS3. I'm a Nintendo fan. I'll look it up though, see what I can find!

ooh bummer hahah thats a lot heftier to invest in than a ds
at least i think so.. right?

yeah its not like the best game in the world but its pretty dope. plus i got it for 15 bucks which makes it all the more awesome

be a great idea to stream as much of it online if you can - in game videos, plot summary.... i might do the same for the world ends with you if i dont get that ds

Yeah, I often watch playthroughs/walkthroughs of games I don't have/can't buy. Might do that with Nier. And yeah, if you can't get a NDS, watch a walkthrough of the game. Can't imagine how a walkthrough would go though.
