Yes. The only reason I quit playing was from the lack of people to play with.

If you're interested in the game, then go for it.

All I ever did was picking my favorite cards, some that seemed strong and the obligatory mirror move and divine wrath. Only played with friends.

We all were cheating all the time. No one ever admitted it, but it was kinda obvious.

Just play Magic: The Gathering. It's better, trust me. It's what yugioh got it's ideas from but is more diverse and just better.

Yes.
I learned yugioh so I could play with my boyfriend of the time.
I chose all the really cute cards (a fairy deck), turns out they're really quite strong and easy to special summon using using special abilities.
He doesn't play any more.

Much easier and less expensive option is duelingnetwork.com

You essentially play yugioh online with access to all cards. You don't get to play with shiny holographic cards and don't get to make corny poses when you draw your cards like they do in the show, but it does mean you get to learn and try out the game wihout investing a ton of money in to it.

>$300 Dollars
>Harpy Deck

Ya you are destined to be ****, I hate Harpy decks... **** is so broken... Either way you don't really have to spend the money intitally, you could always use www.duelingnetwork.com/ . Think of it as free cards that you can do anything with, Build a deck there, try it out, and go nuts.

just remind him it's your first time and he probably doesn't need to be going full duelist just yet.

ahh, it always sucks having expensive hobbies, but if you learn the game and play a few rounds then he kinda owes you something right?
