I hated P.E. in middle school and high school.

High school P.E. was basically "DO YOU EVEN LIFT?" every morning. Racquet sports was nice because tennis is running and not lifting.

Why didn't you lift?
User avatar #48 to #46 - thelastelephant (01/02/2014) [-]
Because I'm a skinny ass muddafugga. 6'0", 120 lbs. It's more a variety of medical reasons, the worst being my screwed-up back.

Fun story from that class: Gym teacher thought I was being lazy because I couldn't lift more than 30 lbs. He wouldn't accept that I was physically incapable of lifting much more than 40, so he tried to make me lift a 100-pound barbell. I nearly tore the muscles in both my arms because of his *********** .

by lift do you mean curl or actually just lift?
User avatar #85 to #84 - thelastelephant (01/07/2014) [-]
Both, but technically I can't curl more than about 30 to 40 pounds.
User avatar #87 to #85 - keatontheghostfox (01/07/2014) [-]
actually I can curl like 25 and thats it
User avatar #86 to #85 - keatontheghostfox (01/07/2014) [-]
oh, I can't even curl like 20-25... I'm weak

What's that, light bulb? Lois Bean?

It took me longer than I'd like to admit to make this.

P.E was pretty ****** in my UK high school. So bad that I used a very repetitive excuse to avoid it for 3 years. Still got top grades in it.

When you live in Miami and it's 90 degrees out with 95% humidity you tend to hate PE.

I'm just speaking from experience from when I was in high school. I never skipped the class, I ******* loved it. I'm just trying to throw some suggestions out there as to what excuse he would have to miss it.
User avatar #23 to #22 - onceman (01/02/2014) [-]
Yeah P.E. boners are annoying and awkward, but that's no reason to skip unless the kid is just a prissy scumbag that skips for anything, I still think it's lazyness and refusal to do physical activity
User avatar #24 to #23 - loneranger (01/02/2014) [-]
Agreed. I just noticed your avatar, Echte liebe for BVB.
User avatar #25 to #24 - onceman (01/02/2014) [-]
I really need to change it, haha, I like Bayern cause I liked how they played in the Audi Cup in 2011 but I'm a fan of Barca
User avatar #26 to #25 - loneranger (01/02/2014) [-]
I'll be honest, I'm only a fan of BVB because I absolutely love watching games with my wifes dad. He's a die hard fan and never misses a game. It's the only kind of bonding I can do with my wifes dad because I still havent learned enough Deutch to speak it yet and he doesn't know English.
User avatar #28 to #26 - onceman (01/02/2014) [-]
That's pretty great man, I think that's a good way to bond with him and learn deutch. I think that's a pretty genuine to be a fan

He really knows how to make me feel like family, I love spending time at her parents place. We also have a great time drinking beer and shots of schnaps.

I've learned some German only from listening to Rammstein and repeating it to my wife and asking her what I just said. She doesn't like Rammstein.

Haha yeah they're really good, don't listen to them any more, but only cause I've grown out of that genre.

I was homeschooled for high school, and honestly one of the main things that made me sad about that was the fact that I wouldn't have PE.

Well, rest assured, if you experienced it for yourself you wouldn't feel bad about it anymore.

I don't know why everyone is thumbing you down.
I liked P.E. I find running relaxing, and it was basically just an hour of running or talking with friends.
User avatar #51 to #45 - ubisoft (01/02/2014) [-]
But if you're a guy that is fat and can't run and that has no friends then that's another story.

Stfu. It's called school not run around and do stupid exercises. The friend part, sure, but why is music and art so underprivileged compared to PE? ******* bs. I was in music class for about.. 6-7 years and I did not learn a single riff while we did everything between heaven and earth in PE and they did not even take respects to wat who could do in PE, not giving a rotten half **** what abilities who had.

And how much am I going to use compared to other subjects?
User avatar #74 to #73 - kyrozor (01/02/2014) [-]
Oh I don't know, day to day things like walking and breathing and most other physical stuff. Also P.E did entry level **** for pretty much everyone. They'd tell everyone to do the same thing and would help the people who were struggling but only if they actually TRIED. Like there's no point in trying to help someone that's not even trying to help themselves. I mean **** son. P.E in my school was a huge bonding experience. We were playing basketball and some kid came in and a wheelchair asking if he could somehow play, we said "Yeah we'll figure something out" took it to the teacher and she was like "Follow me, I'll have this sorted" and led us to a cupboard filled with wheelchairs and we sat for a goo couple hours playing wheelchair basketball.

That being said. Music in my school was very good. I learned a bit about guitar and drums. All we needed to do was ask the teachers and they'd help us make the most of our class time instead of the recluses that sat and complained and did nothing but ponk away at glockenspiels all day.

All of this from a computing student.

User avatar #75 to #74 - revengeforfreeze (01/02/2014) [-]
Ahh , yeah, it's not like I do that without going to PE, you're right. I never exercise without having been taught.

I have no idea what binding experience you are talking about and if course I would help myself, that's why I lift and do cardio every so often. But all the sports did was turn people against eachkther and get mad at eachother.

That dies not sound like music class. All we did was like 4 chords. It was as boring as hell and we never played the electric guitar. No idea what a glkckenspiel is. I guess we use a different word here.

My school offers two different courses, P.E and Strength and Conditioning. P.E is all sports, Strength is very diverse: Weight Lifting, hiking, wrestling, gymnastics, yoga, ect. Yet P.E is the required course, and cannot be substituted with Strength. I would also skip P.E all the time to drop into the Strength class. I only actually attended P.E 2 times a week so I could pass, and I don't regret it.
