Not a pine.
Not an apple.
Most certainly not an animal, but **** it.

electric eel is a mormorid
king cobra IS a cobra
peacock mantis shrimp IS a shrimp
horny toad is an iguanid

but is a fringed toed lizard a toad or a lizard?
what about junebugs?
where are japanese beetles from?
User avatar #15 to #11 - supamonkey (01/08/2013) [-]
King Cobra does not belong to the genus Naja (that of "true" cobras) but instead has its own genus Ophiophagus.
King Cobra is only different from "true cobras" by being longer, having a narrower and longer hood and some mostly insignificant differences in hood pattern and scale placement on the head. These differences are hardly significant, especially when confronted by a "cobra".

and is a cougar a puma? is a puma a mountain lion? is a mountain lion a puma? is a mountain lion a cougar? and what the ****** a panther.
User avatar #14 to #12 - supamonkey (01/08/2013) [-]
Cougar/puma/mountain lion = Puma concolor
Panther = any species of the genus Panthera (inc. lions, tiger, leopards and jaguars.)

User avatar #58 to #57 - Keoul (01/08/2013) [-]
Some people feel like only the weather they experience in their part of the world is the absolute truth for every part of the world.

Instead of you know, different seasons for different months depending on where you live.
User avatar #59 to #58 - bebonkers (01/08/2013) [-]
i've always used
September october and november as autumn
December January and February as Winter
March April and May as Spring
June, july and august as summer
May = spring in northern hemisphere and most of FJ is either American or [insert EU country here]
User avatar #60 to #59 - Keoul (01/08/2013) [-]
It's perfectly fine to assume such a thing but keep an open mind if someone says something like "It's so damn hot!" in January, cause here in Australia it's summer coming at 40 degrees Celsius.
