An interesting fact about plants that I happen to know off the top of my head;

The largest living organisms in the world are plants, but not what you think. They're not the redwoods like everyone assumes, rather aspen trees, and a fungus.

(Pic related) Aspen trees can reproduce asexually through their roots, so basically they're a weed that can just pop new trees up whenever and wherever they want. All of those yellow trees in the picture? Yeah, that's one tree. The thing can clone itself, and a single tree can make up an entire forest. The picture isn't the biggest one, I couldn't find a picture of that, but this one is a pretty good sized tree.

The fungus covers an area of over 30 acres, and is one of, if not the oldest organism still living today.

I think this stuff is pretty interesting, and I though I'd share it with you all.

tl;dr - This big yellow blob in the pic is one aspen tree. Yes one. Also, there's some fungus that covers over 30 acres of land, and is the oldest and largest living organism.
