***** , astrology is the retarded idea that the position of planets has anything to do with your personality.

Astronomy is the study of the universe. This is prette ******* science, unlike most posts in this channel.

Actually; it's hard to say something that hasn't got a single thing to with science, if not impossible.

Oh hurr, a dot! Oh the magnificence of a dot, called Venus!
Honestly, that Venus-thing was a real damn disappointment to me. I've once stood and gazed down my road, and seen Mars - and that being as big as the moon, which was just next to it. That stuff's amazing.
A dot on a telescope (which might as well be a circular smear), isn't.

You're a moron.
No one says that the view was pretty. No one says that the view was mentally aweing.

The fact remains that it was a rare occurrence, and the poetic ramifications that someone can fill in themselves are somewhat incredible. If Venus made a transit every 29 days or whatever, you can guarantee no-one would really be talking about it. But it's a beautiful, poetic, rare event. If you don't like it, you can **** off.
