Not sure if OC. I took it from this video

www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1NJ9Vv-Y6Q&list=LLWQytNn_VXoquWiVqfkEbNg

And I screencapped every image in the video and put them in paint, It was painfully long.

Sources are in the video description.

People lived from the very invention of computing until today where computers and processors are common. Technology can evolve so fast it's unbelievable.

Judging by your content, you were probably born sometime between 1985 and 1995, to answer the question you evaded. Now by that info, you'll probably live, assuming nothing kills you prematurely, to be about 75. Now if technological growth in the next 50 years looks anything like the last 50, then not only are the things OP is advertising coming, they will come faster and faster. So by the time people of our age are beginning to die, around 2060 to 2070, we will in fact have lived to see most of this.

On the subject of, "i don't think you know the society you are part of". That is a very narrow-minded statement. Try distancing yourself from the **** headed teenagers and cynical netizens. Both of these groups are bad for developing a well rounded outlook. Instead, I recommend travel. Go see new places and talk to different people. Or, to save money, visit a museum instead of the movie theater. If you've come to the conclusion that people are terrible and self-destructive, then it's probably time to find new people to talk to.

What do you mean? We are doing a lot of advances in technology and they are being seen in everyday's life. Like the fact that 20 years ago cellphones were for rich people and now we all have one.

don't forget, these things are being discovered by great men

More than likely we are not great men, just hapless bystanders watching our more intellectually endowed fellow men discover the universe as we slowly wither into obscurity through time.

Man I love you guys

Just because most places on earth have been discovered and explored doesn't mean you don't have the minds of the people who explored them - you may have not been to a certain country, and so when you arrive, you personally discover a new place.

It's not all doom & gloom, enjoy your life and your surroundings.

I'm pretty sure that when supercomputers stop analyzing all the amount of data that the human project provided, and some nanobots are implanted in our blood, we can fix our DNA's telomeres so we don't age, at least not as fast as we do now. Telomeres normally get shorter while we age, and don't reproduce as fast.

Does anyone else get slightly sad that we won't be able to see the day where human potential has finally reached a reality? The advances we make in 150 years, we won't be able to see it.

I don't know, this just gives me a deepened sad feeling

We aren't even remotely close to artificial intelligence, what we have is imitative intelligence. None of the devices we think of as "AI" think, they're just elaborate directories made to take commands as common requests.
User avatar #29 to #26 - I Am Monkey (04/03/2013) [-]
That's cool, but it has more to do with creating a computer structured like a brain than it does with actual intelligence.
User avatar #40 to #29 - vycanismajoris (04/03/2013) [-]
Scientists are also mapping the entire human brain, neuron by neuron, and then reverse engineer it. That should do the trick.
