I really don't get the use of this pic for everything. Are you saying winning a verbal argument would be any better? Check yourself before you shrek yourself, please.

He is saying OP sounds like a jack ass trying to win an argument on the internet and look cool, when he doesn't.

But he didnt start an argument, simply pointing out a fact in a non-argumenting fashion, and was received as such

Both people are retarded.
The first person is an idiot for thinking the nights get longer in the summer, and the second person is an idiot for trying to sound smart explaining that they get shorter.
This is common knowledge.

How is this an amazing science post?
The person trying to sound smart is obviously an idiot.

The nights get longer clearly means you stay out for longer during the night...

First was right, after the summer solstice, the official start of summer, the days begin to get shorter and nights get longer.

maybe the person was just meaning that people tend to do more things at night during the summer than they do during the school year
I'm pretty sure you're over thinking this

Yeah, in Finland we only have a couple of hours of night in the summer.

In Lapland the sun can even be up for 1 month, which actually means it doesn't become night for 1 month, if that makes sense.

The same with winter (meaning that the nights are longer and darker).
