Well.. infinite as to how we cannot fathom the scale of it.   
   
Otherwise it is quite a finite space expanding to a point, thus lowering the amount of matter/unit of volume ratio. It is like a balloon that was given air to later deflate and return to nothingness.

actually, if the universe is expanding at an accelerating rate (which all evidence suggests it is), it may very well be infinite in size.
