I heard somewhere (think it was Known Universe, Nat. Geographic) that galaxies often pass through each other, but there is so much vast space between stars and planets that a collision is extremely rare.

In a few million years I think. The universe is only 13.7 billion years you know!

Actually NASA predicts it to be around 4 billion years , with the Andromeda galaxy .

Lets just say , if we stick around for 4 billion years more , yet have no way to escape this galaxy , we deserve to get ****** !!

If that worked/will work, I don't think I would do it. Would go the Sheldon way, make myself into a cyborg.

You're right, death should be natural. But I still want to see how the human rase ends. Do you think it would work if (and this is a little on the edge) one could clone a younger body, and then transfer ones mind into that body, and doing this over and over hence staying forever young. And in the end, death would be natural.

If it was possible, I think that would be a good way to learn a lot! Think of all the things one could learn trough the ages. And if the brain is only electrical signals between the nerves, it could be possible to transfer a consciousness trough a computer. When the computers reaches the complexity of the human brain that is. Cool idea to play with.
