This shows how strong Earths gravity is on different areas of the globe, discovered by NASA's GRACE project.

Red indicates high gravity
Yellow indicates normal gravity
Blue indicates low gravity

If you were to be teleported from a high gravity area to a low gravity area in a split second, you would feel the difference and if you were to weigh yourself at two different points on the globe, you would weigh slightly more or less depending on where you are.
Pretty cool huh.

The good thing about Wikipedia is that it's used by thousands of people including doctors and scientists who control these pages. They also have large teams of people making sure what it says is accurate and up to date.

In this day and age Wikipedia is actually one of the most reliable sources of information. Look it up.

wikipidia says opposite, which is why i hate all things wikkipedia, but simple explanation is closer you are to the source the stronger gravity is. ie... gravity levels on ground level will be stronger the closer you get to sea level, and will become weaker the higher your ground altitude becomes

higher density regions consisting of heavy metals and rock rather than just water (which is still pretty ******* dense) causes higher amounts of gravitational attraction. that's an explanation to why the red zones are on land
