A humbling perspective

look again at that dot. That' s here. That' s home. That' s us.,
On it everyone you tom. everyone you know. everyone you
ever heard of, every human being who ever was lived out
their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands
of religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines,
every hunter and forages every hero and coward, every
creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant.
every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful
child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every
corrupt politician, every "superbat," every "supreme leader."
every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there
on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam."
Carl Sagan,
You are here
The Earth as imaged from the the Voyager t

You have to remember that when Voyager 1 was first thought of, and still one of it's main goals, it's to find alien life and signal them to human kind.

being 4 billion miles away in only about 60 years, just imagine how far it will be in the next 100 years, and how much percentage it has to find something....

On a side note, the aliens will probably just do this

Not a chance it would unfortunately - a realistic fate is that it travels through the galaxy until a star captures it, then eventually burns up, maybe - just maybe it will be captured by a planet... just maybe.

If we had justin beiber and Kim K's sex tape on it, I'd agree 100%. Though our radio transmissions lately may have prematurely convinced the covenant anyways
