Dam straight. We have had automatic weapons in the US for almost 100 years now. These mass shootings have only started happening more often in the last few decades. What changed?

What happened was the shootings started getting less common and the media started getting more important in everyday life, raging on and on about anything and everything that could be perceived as offensive or unsafe.

It is illegal to own full automatic guns. I understand not everyone is a gun nut like this Texan but you must understand that there are SOME limitations. Like no fully automatic, hold the trigger until the barrel melts, kind of guns. The AR-15 is one of the most dangerous civilian guns when put in the hands of a serial killer but the .308 round in the Kalashnikov is much more deadly.
