The very bottom single picture of Simba is actually from Lion King II Simba's pride.

You forgot to mention the part where it's not the actual mythology.. It's a comic book.

I seriously don't understand why people are so impressed by The Avengers. Can someone enlighten me on what I might've missed?
User avatar #68 to #17 - MakiChan (10/04/2012) [-]
for me, it was one of the better superhero type movies that has been out. i went in thinking it was going to be bad and went out thinking it was better then i thought.

Nah, pretty sure was the right one. It seemed to lign up pretty well with all the other Marvel-movies leading up to. Be more contructive, please.

I have to agree with you on this one, I did not enjoy the Avengers at all.
User avatar #34 to #25 - jdizzleforizzle (10/04/2012) [-]
you have to admit, when hulk smashed loki that was one of the funniest moments of the whole ddamn movie though
User avatar #83 to #34 - captainbackslash (10/05/2012) [-]
Yeah, it was one of the things I was pleasantly surprised about. Usually the humour is way too silly for me, maybe because they're trying to appeal to a younger audience. In Avengers it worked really well; it was still pretty silly but the timing was much better than usual.

www.rottentomatoes.com/m/marvels_the_avengers/

There you go. It took all of four seconds to Google dozens of reviews by professional critics.
User avatar #85 to #60 - captainbackslash (10/05/2012) [-]
By the way, it's great you've figured out how to use google. And with such speed. Veeeeery impressive. Good boy.
User avatar #84 to #60 - captainbackslash (10/05/2012) [-]
Thanks. I have been screening reviews a little bit. What I was hoping was kickstarting conversation with people who like it, so I can learn appreciate the good things in the film. I see a lot of people that are like " Wooo, best movie of all time" and want to hear what it is that works for them.

Apparently there's little evidence that Jews were actually in Egypt at all. I base this on what my roommate told me because he's in some Jew history class and the prof. has done a ******* of research on it. Apparently the only evidence is the Bible and we all know how reliable that is as a source of info.

Then again the Vatican would deny it.

there were hebrews there but also other types of people from all around. they had some special on tv of experts looking at the remains of were they lived and worked. they found evidence that large numbers traveled there for work for a period of time then left. many were perm residents too. i think you mean the lower people that were like hebrew but were called something else forgot the name, and they were slaves too.

there was a program on the history channel i saw (back when the H stood for history, not "hurrdurr") about how the ten plagues of egypt and the parting of the red sea all really happened and were connected to a volcanic eruption. they were studying scrolls of papyrus left behind from ramses the second's court. (the pharaoh of the exodus' time)
User avatar #73 to #66 - Pink Floyd (10/04/2012) [-]
Well that's cool. As for the History channel. The H stands for HPawnStars now.
