I'm English
I don't like Football (or "Soccer" as you call it)
I'm an American Football fan (Go Pats)
At least call it by the name given to it by the people who invented it.
We could just call American Football "American Rugby", but we don't/
And before you say Americans invented American Football, it can be traced back to the American Colonial Era. Who colonised America (Or the New World as it was known as)? The British

Although I thoroughly enjoy your positive opinion of football,
who the **** told you that only the English colonized America?
Sure the English tried colonizing America initially, but a majority of them died off,
along with many French, and plenty of Spanish too.., then there were African slaves needed, and also the Irish coming over, and eventually it was just a giant mixing pot of
just ..******* everything..
Like...we have so many ethnicity's of ******* "white people" Polish, Italians, Greeks, ect..that we can't even keep the ethnicity's of them seperate..
I'm literally just a ******* white person over here..
Caucasian..
I don't even care.
Because I get to enjoy freedom to the max.
Have you ever even read such a wordy yank?

But we do it call it the name given by the people who invented, just the rich people anyway. Soccer stems from "Association Football". The practice of adding the suffix "-er" to the ends of words actually comes from England, Oxford to be specific. So while the poorer classes called it "football" or "footy" the more wealthy classes, I assume to not be associated with the others, called it "assoccer" and eventually the "as" was dropped from the beginning of the word and it became "soccer".

Also, Soccer is the uncommon name that came after Football, coined by people who didn't invent it the sport.

Yea, and they left you to become American. Those brits that made American Football never went back to England. They're in America.

No offense meant.
