Not mine, sad poem

The Final Inspection
The Soldier steed and faced See. which must always cemo pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining. just as bright as his erase
Step forward you Soldier. Haw shall I deal with yew?
Hays you always turned the ether cheek? To My Church have you been true'?"
The Soldier squared his and said, "He. Lord. I guess I ain' t.
Because these of us whe carry guns. can' t always be a saint.
We had to were meet Sundays. and at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes We been violent. because the weed is awfully rough.
But. I undertook a penny. that wasn' t mine to keep
Though I worked a let of evertime. when the bills got just m steep.
and I never passed a cry for help. though at times i sheet: with fear.
Ant) sometimes. Gee forgive me, We wept unmanly tears
I know I dent deserve a place. amend the people here.
They never wanted me around. except to calm their fears.
If we' a place for me here. Lard. It needn' t be so grand.
I never expected er had tee much. But if we dent I' ll understand."
There was silence all amend the chrome. where the saints had often trod.
As the Sewer waited quietly. fer the judgement his Gad.
Step forward new. you Spider. yeu' ye borne your burden well.
Walk peacefully en Heaven' s streets. yeu‘ ye done your time in Hell."
