Because the boy had been officially reported missing, and because he had been so for so long, the authorities and medical personnel had to check him over to make sure he wasn't hurt/malnourished/dehydrated. Standard procedure in a missing person's case where the missing person had been found.

i've watched both, (also im like the 1 person in existence that seems to like the original over brotherhood, i personally think brotherhood's story is boring and lax in comparison to the original story and characters) I'm not sure why i don't feel for her i mean i agree it was pretty ****** up but i never got emotional attached to her and the dog (Alexander?) honestly i was more upset when Greed died then Nina (dat square chin)

same here, i sorta gave up on brotherhood, just cause it was too silly. i know that a lot of people like it, and thats great and all, but i never got it. never felt any feels either, except for greed, wrath and gluttony.
i am literally the only person i know who had feels for gluttony
i mean the guy was just a big kid who lost the person who took care of him and then got all of his emotions erased, making him a monster.
but yeah, the Nina/Alexander's story was too short for me to get any real attachment to them.
also the fact that i knew it was gonna happen, and that scene was actually the thing that got me to watch it.

kindred spirit! brotherhoods homonculi are the main reason i didn't like it, i did indeed feel for Gluttony, the whole mother Trisha and Baby Wrath was the best storyline in an anime that i have seen in a long time i couldn't image having to kill my mother after giving my arm and leg and fictional brothers body to get her back and i most certainly could come to terms with taking my own non-existent child's life, the original story brought so much out of the characters that i adored (envy being ed's half brother) and that filler thing with roy being the person who had to kill winry's parents then ******* around with forbidden alchemy

My step dad had a pit bull who he found in the woods one day. She must have been raised to bbite, and bit my leg when I came home once. It wasn't hard, but she let me know who was in charge. Even after I asked them not to, we had to put her down. I named her tootles, and even if she didn't like me, I still thought she was a beautiful dog who might have been a caring pet one day. If only she had another chance. :(

A pitbull killed both my friends aunts Pomeranians.

I'm sure there are some good pit bulls out there, but if I see one in public, I'm going to hold my dog up until I'm at a safe distance to let my dog walk on his own again, because I swear to God, if a pit bull tries to kill my poodle terrier, I'll mother ****** kill all the pit bulls within 10 miles of me.

Pits have ancestry of fighting. It doesn't mean that all of them are just out to kill but that was what they were built for. All dogs have different personalities.
I don't hate pits but I don't trust them. Not because of media but most pits I've encountered with my border collie have wanted to tear up my dog.

Actually, Pits were originally bred to deal with rodents on farms.
Following the beginning of WW II, many Pits were used as war dogs because of their unwavering obedience and loyalty....
because of these traits, and these traits became famous, over the years, dog fighters have taken advantage of them and turned them into aggressive fighting machines.
You'd be mean too if you were tied up in the back yard without food or water, soaking in your own blood and piss for days on end.

And even then, former fighting dogs can become very loving family pets with training and rehabilitation. Aggressiveness isn't built into them, they're conditioned to it. :)

Well, it depends.
My dog was a bait-dog -- basically a living chew-toy for the fighters.
He wandered into our house one day with bloody gashes all over his face, ate our other dog's food, and plopped down asleep in our living room.
He's the single most docile dog I've ever met -- I've seen flies land on his nose and he just sits there.

No, they were trained to fight.
It's not some innate drive that makes them fight, it's their mishandling.
They're just like any other dogs, and in the right environment are more genetically predisposed to be docile than aggressive.

To quote some statistical evidence, in 2011 the ATTS (American Temperament Testing Society) did an experiment with tens of thousands of dogs. Pit-Bulls had a passing rate of 86.4%
This can be compared to the golden retriever at 84.9%
the Beagle at 80.6%
and even the Border Collie at 81.5%

Do keep trying though : )

Their breeding has little to do with their disposition - and more to do with things like their energy level.

99% of a dog's behavior (personality) is dependent on how it's raised and trained. I've seen pit bulls who can be barked at, snapped at and chased by other dogs, but never try to fight back. In a similar vein, I could train a golden retriever to hurt people.

It's all about the human.

1. Anybody owning a high-energy dog should be willing to put out the effort to play with it, walk with it, run with it, help it vent it's energy.
2. Hygiene is not breed specific
3. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I think pit-bulls look noble.
4. You see them at the pound because they are a widely mistreated dog, again -- not a breed specific or genetic fault scenario.
