I'm gay too and its a shame he is so misinformed about homosexuality. It does not define us nor mean that we are worth less than others. It's not a choice. I hope he comes around, but just keep in mind that with time, things get MUCH BETTER. Find a support group of close friends. I know mine have really helped me through some rough times. Hope this helps, and good luck.

I'll never understand gays. I have no problem with them at all, but they always say it's something you're born with. Yet, there's no proof. It's almost as if they'd rather admit they have a disease (one which makes you gay) then just say they're a normal everyday guy who is perfectly healthy, but happens to be gay. I like, don't understand why you'd rather say you have what amounts to a birth defect than just say you like men more.

It's not a birth defect. It's just a difference. Some are straight. Some are gay. Some have blue eyes. Some brown.
Whenever someone says it's a choice, I wonder to myself, "Why would anyone CHOOSE that?"

It's like your taste buds. Do you like bananas? Or oranges? Maybe both? You can't control what your taste buds like. It's also like if you're attracted to short, chubby women or tall skinny women. Your preference is just... there...

That's my opinion anyway. Hope it kinda helps.

It is a choice.

why would we choose to be different, someone to be marked out and ridiculed?

If you think that it is a choice then you are ******* retarded. The same thing that causes heterosexuality causes homosexuality, and it's called nature. If you ask a straight person how they knew they were straight, most of them reply along the lines of "I just knew." That's how it is with homosexuality. The fact that homosexuality is a choice is a huge lie thrown together by anti-gay bigots like you.

You don't choose who you are attracted to, it just happens.

Think about it, back when people were getting killed left and right for being gay, do you really think people wanted to be gay? When at any given moment, you get the **** kicked out of you because you were gay, and for no other reason?
