I want it to take place in the Pacific Northwest. I want to see the Commonwealth fighting against the Enclave.

I want there to be dynamic weather with radioactive blizzards that you have to avoid or seek shelter from, giving you a reason to listen to your radio for information on shifting weather patterns.

I want to see that Lyon's Pride went the same way as everyone else who has tried to be the Wasteland Police, and they're now six guys in a hole.

I want to play the game as a prototype Synthman that was created from an unknown person and was 'woken up' by an unknown third party for unclear reasons and set loose on the wasteland.

I want take as much Fallout 3 out of the game as possible, and make it New Vegas with the Cowboy Wild West removed and replaced with Grim Up North, with frozen lakes, radioactive snow, barren rocky coasts, cold irradiated mud flats, and dark, tall, deep boreal forests filled with dangerous monsters.

I want to see the main Commonwealth cities as massive, sealed, domed structures insulated from the outside world with automated defenses and filled with clean, bright, pre-war buildings and GECK controlled environments with green grass, healthy trees, and clean, clear ponds and lakes, to starkly contrast the harsh, dark environments around them.

I want to see the totalitarian, murderous powers that drive the Enclave and the Commonwealth clash in brutal conflict.

I want to see the Enclave create intelligent, sentient Deathclaws as a living weapon to field against the Enclave, and seed them into the wild, creating intelligent, talking Deathclaws that use technology and create their own weapons and armor.

I want to see the Deathclaws go outside of Enclave control and begin attacking and raiding everything.

I want to be the Last Paladin of Lyon's Pride.

I want to see another set of DLC like New Vegas that tells an overarching story, preferably about your past and the identity of the person who woke you up in the beginning of the game.

Northeast. I don't know why I said Northwest. I want to see it take place in the Northeast, on the old world boarder between the United States and Canada.

If the game took place in Washington or Oregon it'd be even more ****** depressing. However it'd eliminate your dreams about the Commonwealth and Enclave, so there's that down the ******* .
#59 to #58 - lordraine ONLINE (07/18/2014) [-]
We've got to see the Commonwealth. That's my big thing. Most other things are negotiable, but I want to see a northern nuclear winter and I want to have to deal with the Commonwealth.

And I want to play an Android.
User avatar #61 to #59 - ICEDgrunge (07/18/2014) [-]
I could care less about the android thing unless it were an option; however relating to the Commonwealth that'd make a ******* of sense, and be easy to set up.

But I strongly support the Nuclear Winter aspects, surviving the harsh climates; that'd be the greatest test of a fallout environment. The nuclear desert and ruined cities are played out, and they need to do something new to prove that there is other parts of the world.

The Commonwealth would also be really cool, I agree with you there as well, they can't make a quest like what took place in Rivet City and just expect us to forget about it. There's obviously a metric ton of experiences to be found relating to them. I do think what you have mentioned will be the direction they'll be taking in the next one, but I'll be majorly disappointed if it's just another arid, desert environment.

Yes, it's where that grumpy grandpa Zimmer is from with his ******* android, even if there is supposed to be 11 commonwealth, it's still a faction.

Anyway, it's not a THAT BAD faction compared to the Legion, or the enclave who are clearly made for being the bad guys, it's more like the NCR and the BoS imo.

So yeah i hope there will be a new antagonist faction THAT YOU CAN JOIN like the legion, and i would be disapointed by the return of the enclave which has been in already 2 main fallout, and who got disbanded at the end of fallout 3, it would be like seeing the NCR once again.

I agree that it'd be awesome if it was in the Northeast, and I'd love to see the Commonwealth. And the whole 'synthman' idea would actually be a really awesome idea, especially if you don't know it until at least the middle of the storyline. Though about the Enclave, I think that by this point they're no longer a factor. They've been destroyed on both the East and West coasts if I remember correctly. And as for Elder Lyon and his Brotherhood, I don't see them failing that hard. After all, they're pretty much the same power armour-wearing, laser gun-toting badasses that the Western Brotherhood was, without the negatives like being completely xenophobic and refusing to adapt. Not to mention Liberty Prime wasn't destroyed beyond all repair, so they still have him.

User avatar #94 to #13 - urbanknightx (07/19/2014) [-]
I agree with everything except the Deathclaws. Making deathclaws intelligent was a mistake in tactics and it will always be one. They are death dealers, no sentient beings.
I think that yes, there should be clean areas in the populated areas, but nothing over the top. At the very least get rid of the papers and **** on the floors of people's homes, I mean, does Bethesda expect us to believe that people don't know what a broom is?
I hope they release an app for your mobile device that can serve as your pip-boy when you're away, so you can listen to holotapes and I dunno, do other Fallout stuff.
I want the variety of guns in New Vegas (that's the reason I'm depressed with 3, there's not enough weapons) but none of the reputation bull. I don't give a damn what people think about me, I shouldn't get cold feet about killing everyone in a room because their brethren will telepathically know of my actions and try to kill me.
I feel that Bethesda should spend at least a few more months debugging and coming up with better stories. Fallout 3 had a **** storyline, and Vegas was too damn convoluted for me. I don't know why the guys from 3 introduced the Enclave as bad guys because he killed your dad- that's stupid. They were (partially) responsible for the Vault experiments and hundreds of atrocities, that's a better reason and would make for a better story.

I agree with the DLC, it has to be as good and related, but none of the BS of Sierra Madre and Zion. SM felt like Saw and once again, the bad guys were bad for the wrong reasons. Also, plot holes. Zion was bad because there was no explanation to anything- it was just get there, shoot people, blow up a cave, talk to some white guy, and either run or kill more people. No story whatsoever.

I'm sorry for the rant
#110 to #94 - lordraine ONLINE (07/19/2014) [-]
Oh, hell no. Don't be sorry. I love to rant and listen to rants about video games.

I'd argue that Lyon's group would have failed that hard because they were already losing a war of attrition against the Super Mutants alone. These weren't even the dangerous Super Mutants, either. They weren't organized or well equip. They didn't have direction to unify them. It's not like they were fighting the Master or something. It was just bandits and raiders, but the bandits and raiders are Super Mutants.

Lyon's Pride were already losing that fight. They WOULD have lost against the Enclave, if you hadn't stepped in and literally been Jesus with a gun.

Without some sort of revolution among the Brotherhood that converted dozens of other chapters to their cause, Lyon isn't going to win in the long run. He's going to run out of high quality weapons and armor, the people with Brotherhood training are going to die off, and you're going to be left with wasteland conscripts and volunteers in second-rate power armor carrying banged up and worn-out guns.

Anyone who tries to be the Wasteland Police is by definition fighting an absolutely massive war of attrition. The NCR are feeling it themselves, and you can see the effect it's having on them. All things considered, it could be argued that Lyon's branch of the Brotherhood had probably already been wiped out by the time New Vegas started. Saying they lasted from FO3 through New Vegas to FO4 is, I think, giving them quite a bit of credit. Six people in a hole is probably rather extreme, but I'd argue they couldn't possibly number more than twenty. The only people left who would have original Brotherhood training would have to either be ghouls of the original Pride, or people who leared from the originals before they died. And the latter would be old by now.
User avatar #113 to #110 - urbanknightx (07/19/2014) [-]
Man, I love discussing these things with people. It really helps to get this off my chest seeing as how I just accumulate so many criticisms during gameplay.
You know, you're absolutely right. The NCR and the east coast Brotherhood were failures because they wanted too much, too fast. I know people will say Caesar did the same but succeeded, but he is a totalitarian government. Those types of governments usually last as long as their leaders do, which is pretty damn long. NCR just has too much bureaucracy and Caesar is a bit right when he says democracy is bad. It's not entirely bad, but the NCR certainly doesn't implement it right.
The East Coast's problem isn't democracy or bureaucracy. They're pretty autocratic based on their feudal system and so they're good. Their problem is lack of stuff, everyone must have noticed they were using lesser forms of power armor than is usual. The standard pre-war was T-51b power armor, but that's not what Lyons uses.

Overall, what the wasteland truly needs is a leader like the real Caesar. A dictator and a warmonger, but a good leader and kind to his people (something the Vegas Caesar forgets) I would have said Mr House is a good leader, but he's too stuck up and he doesn't have the people's love.

I would say someone like KIllian Darkwater from Fallout 1 would be good to rule, at the very least a city or something. The world is not ready for countries like the NCR.

Even after all the bug patches and DLC bug patches, and even the bug patches that the modders have put out, theres bugs in the engine from Morrowind.
