I have great expectations of Fallout 4. I hope it takes place in either New York or California. Its DLCs should take place in Hawaii, Alaska or another cold place, Mexico, Amazon Rainforest, Somehow go to the UK or another cool place like Paris or even Egypt, Something to continue the main quest(unlike Fallout NV ******* pissed me off), and Area 51. Any other ideas?

I think its to be set in San Francisco judging by the trailer.
Also, 3 and NV all had a story based around what location. NV was a poker chip (gambling) and 3 was the Enlclave (goverment) so I'm guessing 4 will have something to do with the location

it would be cool if they did something with the empire state or statue of liberty like in fallout 3 with the jefferson memorial

In the Fallout Universe, only The United States Mainland and China are ravaged by Nuclear War, the rest of the world just lives in total Anarchy. IE: There was supposed to be a battlefield type game for Fallout that took place in Europe.

But there is no oil left in the world, so they were kind of at a stand still for how vehicles would work. Anyway, America and China are the only countries like that. Canada too, I believe. The Rest of the world May or May not be, but for the most part, they are not, they're just in complete anarchy, or in Political wars and things of the sort.

Also. Fallout 4: New York. All the DLC's should be like, Boston, Long Island, Buffalo, The Adirondack Mountains, the Catskill Mountains, and Niagra Falls. I also believe that, because California is the Republic State, and that New York is the Empire state, Naturally there should be the New York Empire. I also believe that the apartment buildings in Manhattan, as well as some of the landmark sky scrapers, should act as total Dungeons given their immense size. I also believe that there should be cultural differences, different languages and accents, instead of the same five voice actors. The Whole game should take place in like Manhattan, and some parts of Long Island. It'd be boss as **** to see a retropunk version of the city I live in, Just sayin.
User avatar #107 to #105 - gramernazi (07/04/2012) [-]
That would be ******* awesome but I think there should be a DLC with a vertibird to a place besides the US. Also I don't think they'd call it Fallout 4: _____ because they only did that to NV because it was a spin-off. I like your ideas about Niagra Falls and stuff like that. Have you thought about that alot? I also have an idea for a trailer. When You Wish Upon A Star should be playing and it shows an eye that reveals to be a corpse inside the statue of Liberty's Fallen Head.

That's pretty boss bro. I've been thinking about it for a while, yeah. Also I always figured that all the music on the radio should be swing and bigband music. Like Sing sing sing, or Frank Sinatra's New York, or pretty much a lot of Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, and other like Italian-American Singers from the Fourties.

Also In the Trailer, it should be Frank Sinatra's New York, unlike Crysis 2 Which used the remade version.
User avatar #109 to #108 - gramernazi (07/04/2012) [-]
The radio is an aspect I don't think about as much because I know they will put the perfect music in there. They always do. I really hope it's not like Mr. New Vegas and more like Three Dog. One thing I'm really hoping for is a DLC like Mothership Zeta. Also, I hope they put companions like Fawkes in there again. A return of Dogmeat would be nice.
User avatar #115 to #109 - alfjnn (07/04/2012) [-]
I dunno, Maybe. Rex kinda pissed me off tbh. Also super mutant companions? I agree. I also don't think that the raiders should be leather clad assholes, I believe that all the clothing should be changed to things they can pick up around a broken down New York. Like Metal instead of Leather. Maybe like Business Attire with a Metal-Armor Rig. There's always the Museum of Natural History, so a lot of Easter Egg attire would be fun. IE: Cave Man attire with a Club would be kinda funny in my opinion.
IMO, The weapons should all be Metro-2033 Esq, for the most part home made, but also real weapons used by the fallen governments, stored at various missile bases. Also the New York Metro System should be like. 75% Accessible. Also also, it'd be kinda cool if they referenced modern new york with like food wagons on every corner and **** .

Tbh. I believe they should add a better crafting element as well. Like building weapons using parts you found, almost like Skyrim. There should also be hunting Elements. ie: Travelling upstate to hunt for leather and such.

Idunno man. I put a lot of thought into these things. Most of this is just comming off the top of my head now actually.
User avatar #116 to #115 - gramernazi (07/04/2012) [-]
Rex pissed me the **** off. I think the Raiders were better than the Fiends. Oh so they should be kind of like the Pitt raiders? ******* agreed. Cave Man idea is priceless. I was thinking the same thing about the Subway. Oh I hope they give back schematics. The railway rifle was one of my favorite weapons and when I saw it on the back wall in New Vegas, and it wasn't interactive I was pissed off. I hope they put running like in Skyrim into it.
One thing I want is them to bring back a refrence to Fallout 2. I'm hoping either a clone of Frank Horrigan or a Talking Deathclaw.
User avatar #120 to #116 - alfjnn (07/04/2012) [-]
Yeah Lol. A lot like Pitt Raiders, all the factories in brooklyn and such. And Thanks. I kind of like my caveman idea. Tbh I thought fast travelling in the Fallout 3 and New Vegas kind of wrecked the game, instead you can fast travel using the metro which still is pretty accessible knowing New York. I know it's kind of Metro 2033, But I believe that much of the population should have survived underground in the Metro. But that's kind of silly. And yeah dude. Also yeah, schematics would make the game much better. But Yeah, it'd be cool to see full force skyscrapers as dungeons, especially landmarks like Freedom Tower (Or WTC, depending on what they do) Or the Empire State Building. There should also be the option to take a ferry to The Statue of Liberty which, knowing the fallout Universe, is probably going to be full of Raiders. Which is still pretty cool. I'm sure the Fallout Nexus will make a mod where the Statue of Liberty can become one of your homes. Speaking of Homes, I'm pretty sure the options can be limitless. I also figured something for Times Square, I cannot remember what, but I had a bunch of ideas for it, like it being some kind of fight arena, or a town center for one of the factions, or things of the sort. And yeah. Seriously. Sprinting. What the **** Fallout 3 and New Vegas? Sprinting would make the game so much ******* better. Also I don't think there should be like 183271283 vaults, maybe only like Five. At the most, and they should be combined with the Metro. Ie: Random Doors in the Metro system will lead to vaults. Which'd be pretty tight. And Yeah, the more References to the other fallouts, the better. I also believe that the radio DJ should actually be meetable instead of Mr. New Vegas who was a robot. He should also wear a suit and have a classic Italian American Name, and yeah. Also there should be other radios, like Enclave radio with More Americano in there.
User avatar #128 to #120 - gramernazi (07/04/2012) [-]
I like the Metro idea. Skyscraper would be awesome as Dungeons.Oh **** I can imagine living in the Statue of Liberty. A fight arena kinda like the Thorn or the Hole in the Pitt? Yes ******* yes. I would love to sprint in there. I hope we're born in a vault again. I loved vault 101.Yes that's exactly what I'm thinking about the radio. I hope the Brotherhood of Steel plays a bigger role than New Vegas but a little less than Fallout 3. I had 2 good ideas just now.
1. Random Encounters after sleeping or waiting(Like robbers in your house.)
2. After completing the main quest, you get a badass motorcycle to explore better and faster.
User avatar #132 to #128 - alfjnn (07/04/2012) [-]
Yeah But it'd have to be an electric motorcycle. As I said, no oil in the world. That's like the whole point why there's a war and **** . BUT IF YOU FOUND A MOTORCYCLE IN STORAGE WITH A FULL TANK OF GAS RANDOMLY, HELL ******* YES.
Or ya know, a robotic Dinosaur from the Museum of Natural History. That'd be kinda cool too.

And yeah. The Game needs way more Random Encounters, just walking along and something incredibly strange or random happens. Robbers, Aliens, Clowns, Cowboys, Cavemen. All kinds of silly things would make it great, not to mention more serious random encounters, like assassins, crazed maniacs, random people with random names who give you random objects.

Also after completing the main quest, tbh the game should actually be playable, for one. For two, you should get like a badass weapon. Something that just Screams New York, like I dunno. Some mock-mobster's named Tommy gun. Like.
Spat Di'ville's Thompson.
Also yeah, Definitely more and less brotherhood. I agree. I also think that the main quest shouldn't be linear as **** like Fallout 3.
And Yes. A Massive Fight arena surrounded by broken down cars and **** . Also Born in a vault? Maybe. But that was like, Fallout 3's Thing. So I dunno.. Tbh I think your back story should be mysterious, and revealed throughout the entire game. Almost like an Amnesia sort of thing. And throughout the game, you know yourself only as The Traveler. Like, the entire game should be about finding out who you are, and during the game, some people should know you, and some people shouldn't. I also think that the end, depending on what you do in the game should change. Like, the Fallout Narrator should say you're the Evil Traveler from Hellish lands Afar, coming to the Fair City to wreck havoc, etc etc If you have Bad Karma. And The Heavenly Nomad from distant lands come to bring peace. Or Simply the Traveler if your karma is Neutral. Of-course the details will be more specific than here though.
User avatar #144 to #132 - gramernazi (07/04/2012) [-]
Or it's a prototype ran by some Tesla **** . The dinosaur should be a mod. I hope that the Wild Wasteland trait is a given in the game. I like the variety of NV but the story behind Fallout 3. I like the Tommy gun idea. Oh yeah I know the Vault is kinda Fallout 3's thing but... I don't know I just liked it. I did like that the Courier was mysterious. Oh **** yes the Traveler. I still want a ******* motorcycle kinda like horses in Skyrim but it respones at your house. Dude, we should run the Fallout 4 production. I think Bethesda needs to focus on making Fallout 4 because it's not coming out until 2014.
Oh I've got to go so I won't be replying for a while.

Aight bro. I like all those ideas. And Take care Brother. SPREAD THE WORD OF FALLOUT 4
User avatar #104 to #103 - gramernazi (07/04/2012) [-]
Yeah but I would think it would be like the Pitt in a way. Total Chaos with a dash of civilization.

Minus the radiation and all that. Yeah.

a quick though of the start, what if you were born in one of the evil thing, like as a slaver or raider, and thought surviving the wasteland (or city) by them. instead of the nice thing or just losing your memory. lets try to be raised by the bad guys for once, and maybe someone comes and kills them all at the start or somehting, or if you don't follow the group your in (f.eks killing someone nice or putting on a collar on a slave or something) you will get shunned out. or somehting like that
User avatar #221 to #213 - alfjnn (07/04/2012) [-]
You start out as a companion and in the beginning levels the person your following gets shot by raiders!
And those Raiders are from the band of raiders that you used to be chill with until you agreed to follow your companion.
And at the beginning of the game, you make a choice. Freedom, or follow through with the band of raiders and rise up in the Ranks, and have an army of raiders at your back. Or Take a turn for the better and change the Empire Wasteland with your newfound freedom.
Hmmm.. But bethesda always had a way of incorporating skill setting and character making into game play. So that's something to think about.
User avatar #225 to #221 - shadovfox ONLINE (07/04/2012) [-]
and i would like to hear about rest of the world, and maybe hearing about the other persons you play (the courier, the lone wanderer etc) like, what do they do now? and like that, on the radio, that the radio channels work togheter sometimes (maybe hear 3dog say some words etc)
User avatar #228 to #225 - alfjnn (07/04/2012) [-]
Maybe. I dunno. America is cut off from the rest of the world in like, every single possible way though. Also yeah. This should be a few decades after the other games, where there's connection between the Different factions all across the united states. Ie: you should hear about New Vegas and the Capital Wasteland on the Empire Radio.
User avatar #230 to #228 - shadovfox ONLINE (07/04/2012) [-]
and just a quick thought, a new form for currency, like old money or something. bottlecaps are awesome, but like in nev vegas where they have faction money, maybe like that, but bottlecaps will be useless, and you have to use that areas money, (and some place are multi currency) that way you won't get money everywhere, and maybe save one kind of money or there wil be places where you can change your currency and stuff. like more than just kind of money
User avatar #241 to #230 - alfjnn (07/04/2012) [-]
Hmm. I dunno. What's common in New York that we can use as currency. Sticks of gum I guess. Figure twenty for every dollar. Makes sense. But something more usable. I would like to see a new form of currency that has both coins and paper. But I am unsure. Bottle-caps are going to be universal though.
