Should I try the Fallout series? I've heard they are good, but I am really lazy, and if I don't have a lot of "Yuss, it's incredible", I normally don't try the games.

They are wonderful once you get into them, it's just that it's a very particular franchise and it can take a while to grow used to its theme and atmosphere. Other than that, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas are some of the most enjoyable games I've played, so you might as well give them a try.

I heard they ressemble a little bit to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, is that right?

It's like stalker with more humor, especially Fallout new vegas

That is a thing I may actually like. Thanks for the response.

I'll give you some more info then. Both games have gameplay mechanics (such as fast travel, map markers etc.) very similar to the Elder Scrolls series (since Bethesda is the producer). F3 has a bit darker atmosphere, and everything does look far more post apocalyptic, but as I said it's still a humorfull game. The main quest/storyline is pretty good imo, you'll find some nice twists I assure you.
F:NV has a unique post apocalyptic wild west atmosphere and generaly everything looks more civilised. This game features several different endings, a crafting system which is rather lacking in F3 and the cool casinos of New Vegas.
Both games have some cool DLC which should give you a lot more hours of fun.
Anyway I highly recommend both games, you won't regret if you buy/pirate them, have fun mate.

I thought stalker was made by same Croatians? Anyway, just saying it's a bit like the Elder Scrolls really convinced me. Thanks for wasting your time pouring knowledge to me, anyway.

Oh by both games I meant F3 and F:NV, I don't know who made stalker though

Oh ok haha. So yeah, from what I've heard and read the stalker series was made by some Croatians. Fun fact: it's based on a russian science fiction book, "Roadside Picnic", wich has like nothing related to the series.

I looked it up, it was made by an Ukrainian developer, you're probably mistaking it for Serious Sam which was made by Croteam

Something like that, I don't know much about eastern Europe countries, I mix em up a lot.

A little bit, I guess. The common denominator is sort-of-post-apocalypse - other than that the two are very different. Where STALKER is dark, gritty, realistic and terrifying, Fallout takes the post-apocalypse theme more broadly but also more lightly. There is not so much focus on how horrible everything is, but much more focus on the different people and characters interacting in the wasteland. Still there are times when I've sat on the edge of my seat scared ******** while hearing ghouls nearby - but what I mean is that Fallout is more varied when it comes to things like that, in my experience.

Well thanks, now I'm surely gonna get them Fallout games. By the way, are they in Steam? Because if they are, my Steam is broken and I can't do anything.

Think you can buy the retail non-Steam versions online, not sure where is best, though. Otherwise try reinstalling Steam, I guess. If you're feeling up to it you could also just download the games off of thepiratebay and get them both free and without Steam-requirement.

TRied reinstalling Steam various times, changed settings, tried changing proxy, firewalls... still keeps saying it can't connect to the internat. Anyway, I suppose i can get the Piratebay version. Ahoy the life o' pirate!. Thanks, I'd thumb up if I could.
