I loved both games, but they both had a different atmosphere.
Like in FO3, you're traversing an unknown land, looking for a loved one, with Enclave music from the eyebot in distance.
While in FNV, you track down the man who shot you, you clamber into New Vegas; flashy eyes and swing music catch your eyes and ears. You then find yourself in the eye of the storm between several groups who all have different plans for the Mojave.
At any rate, both games are amazing and I recommend everyone try them both, FO3 first.

Their not connected at all. NV takes place 3 years later on the other side of the country,

Yeah fallout 3 felt like a good new experience. And new vegas just seemed rushed. And Vegas is waaaaaay worse when it comes to bugs.

Fallout 3 had a much stronger story to it and better DLC, but I prefer New Vegas because it's got iron sights, more variety in enemies, more weapons, weapon customization, reputation/faction systems, gambling, better music (although that one's purely just my opinion), slightly better graphics, solid numbers instead of percentages for speech options and finally it's got this badass ************ right here

Coincidentally, the guy who voiced Boone also voices a **** load of other characters. One of those characters include this guy

F3 is superior in almost every single way... NV did bring in some new mechanics (like any new game would), but it still can't compare in any other way to F3...
