Yep, that's what happens. One time i got both fawkes and star paladin cross as my companions, both had gatling lazers, and they pulverized anything within range.

They aren't harmless.
There are like, 4 Brahmin outside of New Vegas that attack you.
They do like, 3 damage a hit, but its still not harmless.

It's a brahmin. In the Fallout series, due to the extreme mutations taking place after the bombs fell (and the following years after where all we could do was sit and soak it up) the common cow developed this particular mutation in its genes so now all "cows" are born with two individual heads.

Ironically, in one of the games (I don't remember which, might be Fallout: Tactics) it mentions brahmin being born with one head to a few mother brahmin and the people thought of them as mutants.
