can you keep playing fallout 3, after the main story is completed

if you have the broken steel dlc you can. otherwise you can't. i'd recommend getting all of the dlcs because they are all very fun.

yeah, I got game of the year addition so I have all the dlc, but I'm wondering when I should install it

YES. it is well worth the money and space it takes up, adding dozens of hours to an already endless game.

but does it matter as to when I add the dlc from the game of the year addition, does adding it at the wrong time **** up the game

no. just do it before the last mission. the other 4 dlcs (zeta, point lookout, the pitt, anchorage) were all also really fun. anchorage has a glitched power armor that is invincible and never has to be repaired so i did that early on to save money and health and from there on it's smooth roaming.

so your saying to do all the dlc before, the final mission, and kick ass with the invincible armour

maybe not all, or you may get bored, but definitely do anchorage first. it is also fairly easy if you know what you're doing. there are also fun unique weapons like the shocksword.

I'll probably do that, but I hear that if you add the dlc after you finish the game, you just wake up 2 weeks later after the main story, whats with that, is that a good thing to do, add the dlc after I finish the game, I mean I wan't a challenge with fallout I like challenges

it doesn't matter when you download them because you get to choose when to start the 4 others, and broken steel is automatically started after you finish the last level

With the Broken Steel DLC, YES and it also raises the level cap from 20 to 30 and adds more story missions.

Only if you have the Broken Steel DLC.
#16 to #3 - snoopydoopy (07/14/2012) [-]
what is the order of the DLCs?
User avatar #17 to #16 - jimmylegs (07/14/2012) [-]
in order that you should do them based on content and difficulty i would do: Broken steel, The pitt, Operation anchorage, Mothership zetta, and then point lookout. broken steal for the power armor because it's awesome :P, then the pit because its easy, operation anchorage was easy too but i enjoyed the pitt more so i'd do it first, then mothership zetta because its relatively easy and you could use the extra levels and gear you get for point lookout, because point lookout can prove to be VERY challenging. Thats how I do it.
#18 to #17 - snoopydoopy (07/14/2012) [-]
i mean like chronological, or is that just non-existant?

The release order was: operation anchorage, The Pitt, Broken steel, Point Lookout, and Mothership Zetta although the order of completion isn't crucial to the gameplay.
