good question. seriously, what would happen. If A SHINE! HIGHS AWAY A AIME DOES THE AIME MOVE ,. the angel would get closer because it still can see the silence since the silence turned away and the angel is looking at it still, the silence wouldn't turn in

I thought the rule was the person looking at the silence needs to keep eye-contact otherwise they'll forget.

And you're right. OP is just faggot wrong.

its not really a matter of right or wrong with my post.... its a question of a "what would happen" nature?, not sure how asking what would happen could be right or wrong

Of course question cannot be wrong. I meant that you are wrong since you misunderstood how Silents work.
The answer to your question is simple: Angel will move closer, because it must look away from Silent in order to forget the encounter, not the Silent one.

I hope I will be understood.
Also: random, totally unrelated gif.

Well, a Silence could just continuously look at the angel and exit the room, then the angel would be unaware of anything that has transpired as of late.

That sounds right, but don't the angels travel in time?

It's not if the silence looks away it is if the person who is looking looks away. I don't even watch doctor who and I know this.

This post reminded me of him. Anyone else?

just to be clear the name of the race isn't silence... silence is the religious cult the belong too, their name is unknown

nope

if you watch the show, the chick with the eyepatch says that the aren't "the silence" but that the silence is a religion

Yeah they aren't silence, they're "the silent"

"The Silents were a "memory-proof" alien species who led a religious order known as the Silence"
User avatar #20 to #19 - Marionintendo (05/27/2013) [-]
yes but that makes me correct because they are referring to the silence and not the silent..
#21 to #20 - mattkingg **User deleted account** (05/27/2013) [-]
they are referred to in that quote as the silents, as in "the silents were a memory proof alien species" silents is the plural of a silent
User avatar #27 to #21 - Marionintendo (05/29/2013) [-]
yeah but in the ******* raptor meme it's says SILENCE AND NOT SILENTS... that's my ******* point... or SILENT seeing how the meme refers to one silent....

Weeping angel would forget since if you look away from the silence you forget about him... but that doesn't mean you cant catch silence from behind
User avatar #16 - sinonyx (05/27/2013) [-]
if the angel can still see it, then it'll move closer... this question is retarded
User avatar #17 to #16 - sinonyx (05/27/2013) [-]
a better question would be

if one of the silence were behind a weeping angel, would the angel move?
User avatar #24 to #17 - GeneralLeeInsane (05/28/2013) [-]
This question is retarded as well.
The Tenth Doctor explained this, and it leaves no wiggle room.
When they are being observed, they become "quantum-locked", occupying a single position in space and becoming stone. They cannot suppress this reaction.
This means that no matter how the Angels are being observed, and no matter what it is that is doing the observing, they are physically incapable of motion, and turn to stone.
User avatar #25 to #24 - sinonyx (05/28/2013) [-]
but if you remember when amy and the 11th doctor are in that one place with the **** tons of angels, amy couldn't see at all, yet the angels had turned to stone even though nothing was watching them, then when they caught on that amy couldn't see they started moving..

with that information, it's fairly logical to assume that the angels control it and it's not an automatic reaction
User avatar #26 to #25 - GeneralLeeInsane (05/28/2013) [-]
What are you talking about? I don't remember anything like that.
We don't talk about that scene.
EVER.
#28 to #25 - garbizzle (06/02/2013) [-]
With that information it's safe to assume that it's both. While yes, after they realized that Amy couldn't see them, they began to move again, it's not like they engaged in that behavior in the presence of one who could observe them. I think that it can be assumed that the "quantum-locking" is a biological function of sorts, and is an autonomic one. Much like our own autonomic responses can trigger in situations in which they aren't useful (Like our heart racing when we're nervous in a social situation) the angels' quantum lock may trigger in the same manner, and much like we can calm our own autonomic response in some roundabout way, the angels can as well, so long as they aren't actually being observed.

Nothing happens because they are imaginary characters from a tv show.

well the angel would still be looking at the silence right? then its ******
