and when you finish the classics, you can continue to the Big Finish audios
that alone is a bigger task than the TV series itself.

Mankind stopped in awe. The Time Lord had become the Time God. With his incredible voice, he can stop time itself indefinitely. The economy collapsed overnight, awaiting the glorious return of the almighty Doctor.

He would probably never shut up, I mean not that the Doctor is ever a really quiet guy but I mean, with Morgan Freeman's voice, we would literally NEVER shut up.

Well
A theory thats currently going around is that on the 50th anniversary special, 11 will UNgenerate back into Tennant some how
Becoming 10 again, and making the fandom so happy that we all die

That would be the biggest dick move in the history of TV
I would stop watching the show if the writers literally had that little respect for the contributions made by Matt Smith to the character. I think that's actually the only remotely feasible thing that would make me stop watching.
The show has always been and will always be about change, die-hard D-Tenners need to move on and stop with this horribly rude and convoluted idea.

I couldn't bare to pay attention to the Hartnell episodes, he just doesn't do it for me( He's great and he IS the original but it's just not really "there" for me ya know? ). But all the others are usually just as exciting and fun as NuWho

I guess I might give him another shot, I'm currently eating up Colin Baker's portrayal though
he was so underplayed by the horrible costume design and bad direction...He was just damned good enough to make it work though.

In many ways, the first half of season 3 is worse due to the fact that no telesnaps were made.

Then again, there is that rumour that's been going around for well over a year now that a ton of episodes have been found and are being saved for a surprise for the 50th anniversary.

Search youtube and watch anything you can with Tennant. He is an amazing actor and always gives me a good laugh on the shows he's guest staring on.

It's not enough for you to like David Tennant, no, no you have to make sure you put down his successor
This is why I can't stand most D10 fans, they constantly have to insult Matt Smith

David Tennant would put much of his facial expression and body into his actions, that made him much more natural. He had a great voice, annunciation and had fun with the role.

Matt is a young actor, his first major role was when he was 26 and his second major role was on Doctor Who. He doesn't have that charm as a character. I find that he'll mumble or completely blow the delivery of a joke. It's not completely his fault since things are a bit shaken up with Moffat taking over much of the writing.

Matt Smith is a very young actor compared to Tennant's acting history. This is noticeable onscreen.

Have you even seen him? the man is a master of comic timing and expression!
Like seriously, have you even watched his episodes?
They both put a lot of expression into what they do, but Matt Smith is all swoopy and slick and David is all angular and pointy.
Matt Smith is an extremely talented actor, and is in fact the only actor to win a BAFTA playing the part.
You don't think he's "as good" because you're expecting him to be "just like" he's not some lesser version of David Tennant, and you can't compare him as if he's trying to act just like David Tennant because he really isn't.

And as for having fun with the role?
Matt: "Can I have a bow-tie?"
Moffat: " No, under no circumstances will you be wearing a bow-tie "

I liked Tennant and Eccleston, but I can't get in with Smith. I generally watched the two for Rose and had trouble getting used to other companions with Tennant after she left. I have nothing against Smith, he seams like a great guy, and a great actor, but I just miss Rose too much to like anyone else.
#43 to #42 - noodleofrassilon (07/07/2013) [-]
The show had near 30 companions before Rose, Rose is one tiny little corner of the show, This is why people criticize Russel T Davies for having the first companion be a well written romance... because it makes people expect something that the show isn't supposed to be... Like lets say there's this lizard, and it goes into a hole and comes out (in sixteen years) as a snake. Everyone who jumped on there and started watching a snake wants it to be a snake, but it was never a snake it just hugged itself tightly for a few minutes. It becomes a lot easier to like other companions more once you go back and watch some Sarah Jane Smith episodes and have the show put in perspective.
User avatar #44 to #43 - mickeylover (07/08/2013) [-]
See, I know that Doctor Who wasn't supposed to be a 'romance' show. I understand it started as a history show, and it went like that for a while. (btw, I love your metaphor, thought it was brilliant) but for the moment, I just can't get into something that doesn't have some sort of romantic edge. I am, sadly, just like every other teenage girl. I just watch other shows that many of them wouldn't. when you get to the core, I am, on the surface, oh **** no, I mean, yeah I have tits and long hair, but other than that, I've got my dude on. Anyway, what I'm trying to say, and what I was trying to say before in my previous comment, was that I have nothing against the older, and the newer, Doctors but I just can't get into them. I will probably, very happily, watch all of the older Doctors once I'm older, and get out of this silliness that is romantic entangles. Once again, I have nothing against the other Doctors (slight thing against Smith, just don't like him much) but I can't really get a connection to any of the older ones just yet.

You're very self aware and understanding of stuff.
+1 for honest and powerful introspection
But uh, 11 has a romantic interest.

Who, River? She started with Tennant and meh. She's a really interesting character, and I love the actress, but I like Ten and Rose. 'Tis my favourite. Oh, and BTW I have ever so slightly changed my ways about Smith. I'm starting to warm up to him now (Which I know is the worst time to do so as he's leaving during Christmas, but still) and I have to admit, Smith's speech when he fixes his bow-tie angrily his ******* hilarious. I'm not too much a fan of some of the facial expressions he has, and the fact that 8/10 times he spits when he talks. I have nothing against those things, it's just kinda annoying to me. Also, I loved watching Tennant lick things. It was amusing and helped me with my fangirl-ism

I love David Tennant, but I love Matt Smith too. As long as the show is still entertaining, crazy and lovable, I will always love it, no matter who is the Doctor.
