The link below may not be trustworthy, your best bet is Netflix, if you don't have it, get it, you need it. Up to season six are on there, and I think all of the original series.

Do not lose hope! At $8 a month, every one in the WORLD can afford Netflix! But seriously, if you don't like the show, there are thousands of others on there for you to watch. Or try the free trial, if you are having doubts. Good luck.

Sorry for late, but Dr. Who has a crazy consistency: Some episodes are so awesome that you are overloading on everything faster than your mind can comprehend, and some episodes are simply bad. It's more good than bad though, so watch it.

I was referring to stop motion in doctor who, it's used sometimes, and it's the only thing that i wouldn't mind being replaced by CGI, because, like you said, it looks terrible and out of place.

Sorry if sounded confusing.

I knew you were talking about it in Doctor Who. I was expressing my disappointment for them having it in the show, using specific examples to back my opinion. I guess maybe I was the one not being clear.

I'll be honest. It's slow going as I'm usually pretty busy so, I think I'm on like, the third episode... Once my quarter ends I'll probably sit down and watch it religiously though.

Well you should so you can catch the two references they'll make to the old series on the 50th.

Also are you watching it somewhere online or did you download them?

It's all on Netflix. And when I say all, I mean that I'm pretty sure it's every single episode they'd made with the exception of any episodes which may have been lost (and the current season).

Well, to begin with I only watched the ones with Pertwee because I was curious as to how he acted when compared to his son, and now that I'm trying to watch them in sequence, I just haven't gotten around to Two (Although I honestly didn't like One or Two in the Three Doctors episode, so that has something to do with it)

Yeah, I'm not really sure either. They just weren't what I expected.

I don't think I'll have a hard time watching the old episodes, except for the fight scenes. I really enjoy seeing how creative they were in regards to creating enemies for the Doctor, despite having terrible special affects, which I actually really love.

I actually really enjoy the fight scenes, they never feel fake to me, and i'd honestly take guys in rubber suits and transparent strings rather than CGI, it always feels like they put more effort and imagination into the whole thing.

I agree with everything you just said, except for your main point: The fights scenes not feeling fake. I mean, maybe they won't as I get farther in, but the fight scenes present in the Aztec episodes are just so incredibly forced that I actually felt uncomfortable watching them. But the costumes in place of CGI really pleases me. I mean, yeah, you can get pretty far into detail with a computer, but it's nothing compared to puppetry and costumes. And the difference in quality between CGI and puppetry/costumes becomes incredibly apparent in cases like the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit, at least for me. The film industry needs to go back to the old ways...

Well i enjoy them, dunno why. Also i forgot to mention stop-motion animation is also used sometimes, but i wouldn't mind if CGI replaced that and only that.

WHY?! I mean, I adore stop motion animation, but if something isn't just stop motion through and through it just doesn't belong.
