That was a third doctor episode, and it's also the last ever black and white episode of doctor who!

The youtube clip is from "Robot", the first fourth doctor episode

Oh man, Four was complete gold. I'd forgotten this. This is why I love the Tom Baker years (apart from growing up on them)

This has always been one of my personal favorite jokes from the entire series. You get a thumb.

Also this.
Now, seriously. I really don't know if that is true or not... honestly I don't watch a lot of TV but Doctor Who's been my favourite show since I was four. Every other show on the list is American 'till you get to number nine though.
#17 to #16 - exoskeletonjew ONLINE (09/20/2013) [-]
Doctor who is an amazing show. There's no doubt. Of course there are people that don't like it, but that comes with every show. I haven't watched Game of Thrones, but I heard its amazing. American tv is good, but British tv is better, in my opinion

Just wondering, are you British or currently live in Britain?
#19 to #18 - exoskeletonjew ONLINE (09/20/2013) [-]
No, I'm an American. I just prefer British tv. so many shows from america that give us a bad name (jersey shore, teen mom, etc.). I can't stand most American shows. But I do love quite a few, like Breaking Bad and Supernatural

Well, I guess. BBC Four is just boring. And anything past iTV 2 is also hell on earth to get through... but as far as offensive or moronic shows I can't think of anyone that is on the public channels. Those usually run on cable, even if they're British.

Everywhere is going to have their downsides obviously, lol. I'm not saying that British tv is perfect and anyone who thinks differently should be put to death. I'm just saying its better.

Still on Tom Baker, watching the series in order. my favorites are 1st and 3rd, then 4th following closely after.
User avatar #27 to #23 - Darianvincent (09/20/2013) [-]
Watching the series in order makes me kinda sad that BBC is missing so many of the earlier episodes.

Well, there aren't a whole lot of complete episodes for him, so I skipped most of him, so I never got attached.

I have all of the episodes, including reconstructed lost episodes and specials. I skipped any episode that didn't have all parts intact except the 10th planet. I'll get back to them eventually, still have about 17 seasons including the reboot.
