I'm just going to tell you all. Here is how a girls mind works (this ones, anyway, but a lot of younger ones are the same way, i am pretty sure)
If she is crying, something is obviously not ok. Ask,
"hey, you ok?"
"yeah..."
(grabs by shoulders) "you sure?"
"no"
and then you listen to her for a while, as apposed to a week later still ranting about how you don't care.
I try not to be this girl, but its what some girls want.

so in other words, its like a test, you dont want to bother them with your problems unless they really do want to listen.

false. Women are people too. There is some pressure from society not to show emotion regardless of gender. Wanting to appear emotionally stable and strong is not, I think, something which is based on gender, and I don't think that lying about ones feelings is a test. example: "how are you?" "fine". I've taken to answering the question semi-honestly. I get asked a lot less frequently now.
