MFW I do a little research into "Dr. Who" and discover that there were episodes from the 60's through the 80's that were destroyed when the BBC stored the films in some damp storeroom.
Seen only once when they were aired. :'(

They were destroyed to make room for the new ones. Because BBC's preservation policy sucked back then

Solution: Have these episodes remade.
#28 to #25 - Brass ONLINE (09/28/2012) [-]
Would not be the same. Every Doctor is incredibly specific, meaning that actors could not accuratley depict their demeanors. However, if done right, the remade episodes could at least satisify fans and fill in plot holes. With that being the case, I nominate the great narrator to play one of the early Doctors.

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to affect, but actually, from a non-linier, non subjective point of view it is more like a big ball of wibbily wobbly timey wimey…stuff

I wonder if some were lost cause BBC would tape over old shows, I know the only reason why Monty Python's Flying Circus survived was because they were bought from BBC.

dont worry, there are copies somewhere, there are people who recorded them from the t.v. when they aired
User avatar #22 to #20 - Lambda (09/28/2012) [-]
Many, no. In the 60's, there was no home video recording. There are entire shows that have been lost because they were aried, and the recordings were either destroyed or they were not recorded.

I don't know, i've seen it happen before, one day a tape turns up that has a show that everyone believed was lost on it...
usually there are people who obsessively record things and the only time the outside world gets to see them is after that person dies and their house is cleared.
they're from the 1960's right, lets say someone who does this is, i dunno, 18 when they start recording stuff, by now they'd only be 70 and people now are living longer than ever before, give it 20 years and i'm sure something will turn up.

Netflix for sure has most of the episodes. Look 'em up

Please man it's "Doctor Who". "Doctor" Is his name. When written out it's Doctor, his title, that he chose, is The Doctor.

Please guys :(
