Coincidence?. Thumb either way and comment!.. Actually the magic of being bigger on the inside started in book 2 with the Weasley's flying car.... it was bigger on the inside than on the outside.

Actually Doctor Who started in 1963. Harry Potter started in 1997.

That is true, but it was never shown on screen. Unless I am forgetting a scene this is the first movie that shows this form of magic. But kudos to you.

That's not a timelord. That's a Death Eater who murdered his own father. Dr. Who would never do bad things.

He would never do bad things? Do you even watch Doctor Who? He kills people all the time. "Murdered his own father"? The Doctor killed his entire race.

He hasn't been named Doctor Who since once of the early Doctors when he suggested they changed the name in the credits from "Doctor Who" to "The Doctor"

So no, Doctor Who is not his name. He's just The Doctor.
#29 to #16 - lazyvoltage (11/26/2012) [-]
Well, Doctor Who is the one question that can never be answered in the Doctor Who universe.
#36 to #16 - beffen (11/26/2012) [-]
Not at all. Dr. Who would suggest that his surname is "Who" and he has some kind of degree when actually, we don't know his surname nor do we know if he has a degree. We don't even know his first name. He is simply "The Doctor" (or if you want to be specific, Sir Doctor of TARDIS, as he is knighted by Queen Victoria before being exiled from the British empire) just as The Master is "The Master." 'Dr. Who' isn't even correct, it would be "Doctor who?" as this is a question as well as the title of the program, hence why the title is spelt as Doctor rather than Dr. "Doctor who?" is the question that must never be answered and when it is, silence will fall and the Doctor will die. The only other names he is known as, is "John Smith", "Dr James McCrimmon", "Doctor Vile", "Oncoming Storm" (as named by the Daleks) and "the Soothsayer."
It strangely annoys me to no end when someone refers to him as Dr. Who, and I am an extremely large fan. I do not have "absolutely no problem" with it.

**trolololer rolled a random image posted in comment #38 at Hollywood ** Well true, but people take such little things SO seriously. That's what disappoints me about today's society. I mean you could get upset over the government's unnecessary taxation, you could get upset about the starving children in third world countries, you could get upset that so many people die senselessly every day, but they would rather get upset because of a TV show.

Viewers saw the inside of TARDIS long before Harry Potter was even around, but seeing how Harry Potter and Doctor Who were written by the British it doesn't surprise me that JK Rowling liked the idea.
User avatar #195 to #185 - Loppytaffy (11/26/2012) [-]
You have a very narrow view of British entertainment media, don't you? That's like saying Family Guy and Simpsons are alike because Americans wrote them, or Pokemon and Digimon are aliek because Japanians wrote them.
The TARDIS isn't actually bigger on the inside, you pass through a inter-dimensional dorrway into a pocket dimention, so when you're in the TARDIS, you're not in the TARDIS at all.

I just finished Tennent's last actual episode, the on before Water on Mars, and I like Eccleston better than Tennent. For some reason Water on Mars's sound is out of sync with the video on Netflix, and I refuse to watch the first Smith episode until I watch Water on Mars.
